Dr Lori I wish you would do a live where you demonstrate the Presidium on the commonly used stones for jewelry. Precious gems are easy, they are listed on the machine. But I see people making so many mistakes - calling Adventurine Jadite, or Quartz Tourmaline simply because of where the needle falls.

Hi Dr. Lori, Would you ever consider doing live shows or classes on Sundays? Not that you don't need a day off, lol. But my job keeps me from seeing any live shows, east coast or west coast times. I always watch them later. I have also tried classes twice, but wasn't able to attend either of them because I had to work late. I help at the local thrift store on Saturdays, so same problem there. Sundays are my only day off. I totally understand if thats your day off too. You've asked us to let you know though, so thats the only reason I'm asking.

I ran across an old 80's chain necklace very flat and wide in 14k white gold. I keep thinking about how you said the 80's would be hot again soon. I wonder if that applies to jewelry like those flashy gold chains? Would I get more money out of that 14k 80's looking chain if I waited until it came back in style or should I go with the price of gold (since it is high) and list it by the gram? I guess the same question would apply to 80's gold wedding rings or other 80's gold jewelry?

I have a silver open cuff bracelet , which has lost the stone. The artisan, I can't remember, but his jewelry in this type of design( desert southwest) was called " low luv" does it still retain some value, since it is signed, without the stone? I'm afraid to try to sell it, as is, because I do not know how to market it without that all important stone.
