When my Mother passed my Sister only wanted my Mother’s $3000.00 wedding set so she threw all of her other jewelry including all of her costume jewelry in the trash. 🤦🏼‍♀️Because she thought it was all of know value to her. Well it didn’t take me to seconds to dig it out of the trash. She said, what do you want junk jewelry for. I said because it’s was my Mother’s 😢

I only wish that our house wasn't broken into back when I was a teen. The thieves took a whole dresser drawer full of my faves. I've loved costume jewelry since I was a child.

Hi Dr Lori. I love that your doing this video on pearls. I have about 15 different necklaces but I couldn't figure how to send it with the link. Probably because i went through 25 pounds over the weekend and found some beautiful Viv and Ingrid 1957 est Astral crystal hoops made from Sworovski. That are just badass. I guess they are new though . But made with the Sworovski crystals. Sexy !! Orange and Pinkish 😊 i scored over 75 different pairs of earrings. 😅 all vintage with a bunch of Roseries that are really nice. Only 5 or 6 pearl necklaces have potential and some have been found on Google lens for 50 ish dollars but a few come up high dollar and must be a mistake.

I have some Hattie Carnegie! 🥰 My favorite piece is a large broach that reminds me of a Juke Box! It has a "permanent" placement on my tuxedo style black duster. Lots of compliments. $30 I paid for the broach. Many of these names you mentioned, I'm not familiar with. So thank you very much Dr. Lori for sharing this very cool informative video! 👏🤗💖💐

I have lots of costume pieces for myself. I don't buy to resell. I like many styles and designs,but maybe I'm a little weird because one of my favorites to find is the cheap plastic stuff! Lots of color! I even have a bright green bracelet with large plastic leaves set on a wrist watch type band. Its great! Also the sugared bead ones in great colors. I think they are unique and more people will collect them someday. That being said, I love the more high end stuff too!

I have some vintage costume jewelry from my Mom (she passed away 25 years ago) and they have been sitting in a box since then because I didn't know what to do with it or if it was worth anything. If I recall, there are a few pieces from the 40's and 50's that are not in great shape but are noteworthy. How can I tell the worth? They are in the condition she left them in (not cleaned). TIA! I have these large heart shaped Swarovski clear crystal earrings with a gold border. I bought them at a thrift store in the 1970's or 1980's. Where can I find the rubber inserts to keep them on the ears? Otherwise I can't wear them. The earrings just drop off.

Have you considered offering a certificate program? I feel like you have offered your followers a master class in identifying valuable items. Does anybody know of a maker that uses a coffee pot shaped stamp mark? It will be modern, from the 60s or 70s onwards. A coffee pot without a handle with what looks like I C upside down on it, although it could be something else as it's rubbed.
