The Lite-Flite balls will absorb water. In doing so they will not perform well out of the machine-they will be heavy. they do dry out however.

@@JUGSsports Yep Thanks. That's all I wanted to know that they will dry out, instead of becoming unusable on permanent basis after the first exposure to water. So we are good. I ordered a dozen as a sample and will give them a try before ordering more.

@@JUGSsports Also, do you guys plan innovate and introduce a pitching machine to truly rival the Triple play ultra? My idea to upgrade the BP3 model is to introduce three main features/improvements. 1 - Water proof and safe in the outdoor environment. So that there wouldn't be a hassle to move it inside every day. Regular rain should not hurt it. 2 - It MUST be able to have an adjustable setting to increase or decrease the space between the three wheels so that the machine could take ball sizes from 8 inches 12 inches with half an inch of increment option. 3 - Built in ball loader option that could house about 100 balls, just like Triple Play Ultra does. This is a MUST. And then it must have programing mode just like Triple Play Ultra does, thus eliminating the need of a second person Yes, the cost will be high but this could be the ultimate pitching machine of our times.
