Poland and Lithuania should be the biggest friends - not enemies. We should not let those few with nationalist views spoil the relations between our two great nations.
Thank you very much! I'm Polish but my great-grandfather was Lithuanian and I'm very proud of it. It's finally time to get over our quarrels and celebrate our common history. Ačiu from Lenkija 🇵🇱 🇱🇹
Wrong , wrong , wrong . Poland by mentality , culture , lifestyle , relligion and morality is more connected to the east than west . Poland had always been enforcing itself to the western world out of political measures and that is all there is .
We want to get wealthy but it doesn't mean anything else is attractive in the west. Thing is they got rich cause of capitalism when we've been thrown into communism and soviet union. Thing is now west seems to be fascinated with communism more and more and that's the time we should go our own path. Especially that many westerners are clearly antipolonist. We should take initiative and take care of other countries like Lithuania and not leave them like honorless cowards.
I know that Poland and Lithuania have difficult past, but we should forgive each other. Is hate a response to everything? Poland loves Lithuania too!!!
Labas vakras/dobry wieczor, Poland loves Lithuania and Lithuania loves Poland. That's great. I hope it will stay like that. Finally nice steps into the right direction. I'm travelling pretty often to Vilnius and Kaunas. I love these cities. In Vilnius there are so many marks of our great common history. Maybe I am an exception. But I never had a bad situation or a problem in Lithuania. I hope it will stay like that. I love just both, Lithuanians and Poles. One time I was showing to an older Lithuanian woman on Rossa some Lithuanian stamps with Chodkievius, Radvillas and Ceslovas Milosas, and I told her, these are our common heroes and people and I added, we had better lives when we were together, she took my both hands and told me "God bless you". Another time, when burning the candle on the grave of Pilsudskis grave I was asked by four young Lithuanians for matches. They did the same. So, I hope, these changes are coming and will be sustainable. For so many centuries we were so close. With Jagiellons we had such good kings and so many common heroes, poets, knigts etc. Even on the Polish banknote of 100 PLN there is the Lithuanian Jogaila/Jagiello. We must not forget it. So many of them were calling themselves Polish-Lithuanian people. So I do it right now, too. Maybe I am a dreamer. But I will stand for it. The good and interesting history obliges me. Let's hope our brother from Belarus will join us one day. And then maybe even Ukrainians. Aciu/dziekuje
+airport2000 Funny think is we don't hate you. You on the other hand hate us, we became hostile latly bc you have started to discriminate our people in Lithuania.Srsly I have nth against you, when I was in school learning history I acctually thought we are good friends.
JKL GAMES Well here Lithuanians are showing their true colors. What do you think you Lithuanians are somewhat superior to Poles? Just look at the economy of Poland and Lithuania. Baltic shitbags.
I'm Polish and I'm sorry for poles that keep on spreading the hatred towards Lithuanian people. I'm glad that is only some people and that is a minority. I know polish history and a bit of Lithuanian history I also have been to Lithuania and I know that most Lithuanian people are nice to poles. A lot of them speak polish. However there was one person (but it was just one person) that started staring at me with that eyes full of hatred when I was talking in polish to my friend, but it was just one person. There's always someone..And there's just one more thing I want to tell my polish brothers..Vilnius has always been Lithuanian it was polish for a while, but it doesn't matter it's Lithuanian now!!!!Get over it!!! Poland loves Lithuania!
Mouskell as i said, most of these nationalistic Poles consider themselves patriots of Serenissima Res Publica, our common country, and those people only reply to the hate that comes from Lithuanian people (i have nothing against Lithuanians, Russians, or anyone really, in fact i am Lithuanian in the old meaning, my family used to have their lands over Grodno, in today's Belarus) that don't realise that their hate is a reason of propaganda, of course there also these ultra-nationalistic Poles (Lithuanians as well of course) that think they fight (in internet ;d) for their nation, while they don't realise they are brothers, that we, before the propaganda started, created one nation, not ethnical one maybe, but the nation of Commonwealth, which consisted of many other nations, regional cultures that, combined, created the culture of Commonwealth
We love Lithuania and Lithuanians, but we cannot forget the murder of Poles by Lithuanians in Ponary, you murdered more Poles than the NKVD in Katyn. What has Poland done to you that you hate us so much? God bless all of us.
This id so beautiful, I cried. I'm from Poland and was aware of the tensions between the countries but I'm quite sure the majority of Poles have no idea of what's going on which is sad and good at the same time. I'm going to try and spread the word (this video mostly), spread some love. Love from Poland
Stop fighting! We a great history. We stood side by side, shoulder to shoulder to defend our independence as union. We were beaten by the big neighbours but we survived. Why do we nee to start it all over again!? Lets just be friends! :)
Stupid politicians... Poland likes Lithuania and Lithuania likes Poland, it's simple. "Litwo!
Pozdrawiam.
This is GREAT VIDEO!!! WE LOVE YOU BACK FROM POLAND! We need to stick together because then we are strong! We were one country through meny centurie's and let's don't destroy our friendship because of stupid politics and football fans!!!! PLEASE REMEMBER: WE (IN POLAND), USE THE NAMES OF TOWNS IN BOTH LANGUAGES AND RESPECT LITHUANIAN PEOPLE! PLEASE DO IT FOR US IN YOUR COUNTRY! Thank You for this movie and greetings from Poland!
Greetigns for you and all the Lithuanian people from Poland. It's really nice that you have spent your free time for doing that such a awesome thing. In love, peace & respect is a huge power. Be together :) !
I got this from my polish friend that lives in my house . I went outside and said to him while walking towards him : Lithuanian loves Poland and he smiled and walked towards me and said..... Poland loves Lithuania ...... What a great inspiration you are ...... Blessings to you
I'm US American, and my mother is from Poland, and her mother, also born in Poland, had a Lithuanian mother. My mother embraced Lithuania as much as she embraced Poland and the United States, of course. My maternal grandmother told my mother wonderful stories about Lithuania. By the way, does anyone know that Pope John Paul II's mother was also from Lithuania?
I am disgusted! People in the comments are so childish! I have a Polish bff in my college! She is amazing and nice! Her family loves me even though I am Lithuanian! I don`t hate Polish people even though I am a patriotic Lithuanian!
I took the Ancestry DNA test. I thought I was 50% Polish from my father. It turns out I am Polish and Lithuanian. My father's family comes from NE Poland. Everyone needs to get along.
I'm lithuanian and my fiancee is polish living in Lithuania. I love Poland as a brother-like country and your language is also very nice and sweet. Wszyscy jesteśmy braćmi i siostrami :)
I am third generation American. All of my family goes back to LT since the time of the "amber gatherers". Thank you for what you have done. The painting of the battle of Grunwald that you showed is where Poland and Lithuania united to break the back of intollerance and it made me smile. As for me... USA ♡ LT and PL. I will be coming to visit for the first time ever in July. I will think of this when I am there. Peace Aciu. Jon
Lithuania loves Poland! I've been to Poland, met some really nice Poles in other places, and they were all nice, friendly people. The politicians and the media are spreading the wrong message, and the radicalists on both sides are doing us no good by trying to present the majority, when in fact, they are the minority. Let's forget whatever wrongdoings we did to each other in the past, those were hard times, and focus on the future.
Vilnius is Lithuanian. I am a Pole and I would never say anything else. I love you Lithuanians for being with us in the best time of our country. I'm sorry we dominated during that era, and now I think that we should be close friends and allies within the west, because the Russian threat never sleeps. Support my Lithuanian brothers from Poland. If you get attacked we will be the first to fight for you and with you!
That is so wholesome. I an lithuanian and i love poland, its language and food. I hate that events in the past century and angry people destroy the historical friendship
@@kristoffer1971 gówno mnie to obchodzi. To ty piszesz głupoty.
Lol that's bullshit. Poland is Slavic, and there are shitloads of German documents suggesting German plans to eradicate the Polish :D. You are stupid to think this urban bullshit.
I really love this. I love seeing two countries who have centuries of good history and friendship with each other make up so powerfully after having conflict. This needs to happen more often. I'm very glad the bond didn't break :)
That was so beautiful Even though I'm from Poland, I love this And, sincerely, I don't understand this conflict about Vilnus (Wilno) There is no good country in the world, every single country has an awful history filled with wars, battles, murders etc. And more importantly, every country had a conflict with the other one But past is past, we must think about future I honestly love almost all the countries for their history, cultury, tradition, a will to survive and independence Not all Poles hate Lithuanian I've never met someone who would hate Lithuanians And I will always say that I really love Lithuania Greetings from Poland ;) Poland love Lithuania, don't worry ❤
Very good example of the positive and constructive possibilities of social media. It also shows the power shift that is happening (slowly but constantly) from the political establishment to the people.
I am polish, i love lithuania, bulgaria, ukraine, czech and all slavic countries, i agree with you, i don't listen to politicians, i listen to artists, those who love, kind people, creative people : )
Thank you Mykolas. I thought I was the only one who tried to bring our nations together in friendship again. I have been to Lithuania in 2000 and 2009. Thank you for your love, friendship, help and hospitality. Mykolas, let's stand together and we will make a difference. We are not the enemies!
I was in Vilnius, Trakai and Kaunas. I am Polish... I've never had any bad situations... Even totally different. I had a lot of good situations even beeing Polish. We love back! I've felt love back! The union is needed now. Euro is not good. It is a kind of colonialism. We can not manage the whole world by ourselves.
I'm from Poland and one of my biggest dreams is to learn lithuanian language - honestly, I think this culture is incredibely awesome! Seriously - what's the deal? What's done is done. Our lands are different than they were before - we lost many important cities here, in Poland, after various wars and fights as well as you did. I can't bear looking at comments below. We're just people and what government does isn't our fault. We can't blame the whole nation for something that has done one man or even one government.
"O Lithuania, my fatherland, Thou art like health; what praise thou shouldst command Only the man finds who has lost thee quite. Today I see, and limn, thy beauty bright In all its splendor, for I yearn for thee." (A. Mickiewicz, Invocation, Translated by Watson Kirkconnel)
What Lithuanians doesn't understand is that Lithuanians felt like a part of Commonwhealth in those days. To be Lithuanian was like to be Californian while you're American. Like you're Silesian while you're Polish. Although I'm not that old to remember those times (!), but really, take a while reading his works.
Valdimaras Endriulaitis I'm sorry. But I'm gonna call bullshit on this one. Silesia was a Polish clay for many years, and many Poles lived there, untill Germans decided to move Poles and Silesians to somewhere else. About Silesians I'm talking about the ones who speak with Silesian language/dialect, and not the Germans, that still live in Silesia. And about the govermnent of Commonwealth you really have to study some more. It's a specific goverment, in which a lot of power had nobles. Yet I don't exactly know how Lithuanians felt their nationality there, despite, that they wanted Commonwealth to be a powerfull country (or at least to make Lithuania a powerfull country, not neccecerly through Commonwealth, though Lithuanians saw Commonwealth as their country, not divided from the Crown through the time (like in XVIII century?)).
I wish one day a commonwealth would be reborn among our nations. Western Europe is poised to be gradually conquered by foreigners (eg. muslims) A union is vital to secure our future cultural identities)) Slawa wam!
Valdimaras Endriulaitis Germany is at the brink of destruction, a seemingly irreversible trend. Instead of bluntly displaying senseless antipathy to your balto-slavic cousins, you should be embracing our efforts to save eastern European culture from the evils of the emerging european CALIPHATE.
Valdimaras Endriulaitis Brother, Gdansk was inhabited by Polish tribes when the Polish lands were coalesced during the formation of the first Piast dynasty (10th century). It was Polish since the country's inception ;) If we go back far enough, many Polish settlements today were in fact Celtic and Gothic, so I suppose we must return that too, considering they were abandoned and later resettled by early Slavs? ;)
Is this all it takes to start an argument on the Internet these days? Really? Whatever happened in the past, happened in the past. It was a violent past, and a hostile past, and a horrible past, but it was the past. Please... calm down, people... What are you even trying to prove by arguing with each other?
I met this boy couple mouths ago, he's from Poland. We talk a lot about our countries and other stuff.. We aren't BFF, but we are very close already! He knows a bit of lithuanian language and i know a bit of polish language. Basically we learning from each other😃 and to be honest polish is my 2nd favorite language😁 And yeah, Lithuania ❤ Poland! 🇱🇹💗🇵🇱
As a Polish Patriot I can't understand this "war" between our countries :) We have the same history and We are neighbours so we must help each other and live in friendship. That's not important what politics, or media says, cause they don't have a chance with all of us :D So stay strong Lietuva, our friend, true Polish patriots loves you too
