Yeah like the other Baltic countries there’s lots of green and unpopulated areas so you get a feeling of space. There’s also lots more castles to see but we didn’t have the time to see them all (probably because we had a long lunch 😁) Yeah traffic was mad getting into that city, we didn’t manage to catch it but on the outskirts it was worse there were huge roundabouts with speed bumps 😆 -the last thing you want when leant over trying to get away from traffic lol Thanks for your continued support 😊 Sean and Emily

I really enjoyed your whole trip. I am glad that you liked my country Lithuania. Next time I definitely suggest the direction: Vilnius - Švenčionys - Zarasai - Stelmužės oak tree - Biržai. This is a wonderful way to travel by motorcycle and see the wonderful landscape of Lithuania. If you need advice about Lithuania, you can always contact me. Of course, if you would like, I would be happy to join you on your trip around Lithuania.

Another awesome episode, looks like Shadow's suspension had a good work out on those bumpy roads! Though tbf it's had a good work out all through the tour!

Thanks as always =), yeah shadow has 23,000 km on him since we picked him up earlier this year and the bike has done incredibly good - not even one error message (always good to buy the last of a model with all the creases ironed out) Cheers! Sean and Emily

There never was a battle of Kaliningrad, the town was for centuries Königsberg, much like Klaipeda also used to be called Memel. Lots of German places east of the Oder before the war. Great set of videos guys, making the same trip in spring.

Hi Sam, cheers for that! Glad you are enjoying them. For the Heading South tour we had Michelin Anakee adventure tires but for this trip we had Metzler tourance next twos and we have just put a second set on.

Yes we sure did! Lots more to see there so hopefully we will return on day. We have a couple more videos of the Baltics to post, but yeah a beautiful area with lots of fascinating places to visit. =)

There is an old scenic road next to the motorway from Klaipėda to Kaunas which is beloved by motorcyclists. Kind of like Route 66 of Lithuania.

Yes we used the 141, we only took the motorway from Kaunas to Vilnius.

@@SeanandEmily I meant 196, but this one is also nice. It's an old German-style road lined with trees, full of winding corners and occassional hills. It might not be anything special for a foreigner, but for locals it's kind of like Route 66.

45000 dead😢 that's a football stadium full, murdered. Although the scenery wasn't spectacular I enjoyed it, especially where you had a pit stop next to that beautiful river. Castles, stately homes etc fascinate me so I'm looking forward to the old town

Very nice ride again! There was quite a traffic jam. Interestingly when I was there in July I didn't see any traffic jams like I didn't see them last year either. I must have been driving in different time of day or there has been happened something causing the jam when you rode.

Cheers mate! Yeah lots of traffic -I think everyone was finishing work so it was drive home home traffic. Did you also notice the speed bumps on the roundabouts 😁 -never seen that anywhere before.

@@SeanandEmily It must have been the time of day. Now when you said it, I remember that there were bumps. Did you notice that the road quality is generally poorer in Lithuania than Latvia and Estonia?

Yes pretty much as soon as we crossed into Lithuania, I believe it's the poorest of the Baltic countries.

It turns out you love touring, I also like touring even though I've never toured far. Is it true that villages in Europe are deserted because most of the people living there are old people, while young people work or continue their studies in the city?

We can't speak for all of Europe but yes that's basically true, especially in countries where the countryside is very remote and there isn't much work in the area.
