Somewhat reminds me of the 2007 game between the Giants and Patriots. The Giants didn't win, but it gave them the confidence and put the rest of the league on notice that they could compete with the best

@brendanmurphy964
@brendanmurphy964 3 года назад
And then they also started the 03 season with a 31-0 smackdown loss to the bills. So after finishing 9-7 the season before and starting the 03 season as bad as you can there was a LOT of whispering as to whether or not Belichicks message had been lost on the players and whether or not he had control of the locker room, because he had just made a SHOCKING move before week 1 by trading the defensive captain Lawyer Malloy to the Bills, who was loved by not only the fans but by many of the players as well. Then they go out and get drubbed by the same team Malloy got traded to, not to mention Bledsoe was on the other side too. But then Rodney Harrison stepped up as a leader of that team, and well they only lost one more game that year, go 14-2 and go on to become a dynasty. But a lot of people either forgot or just don't realize just how close the dynasty was to falling apart early on in 2003.

Yea but that stupid tuck rule that made no sense whatsoever being in the NFL rulebook bailed out the Pat's win against the raiders so they could end up playing in afc championship game against the steelers. That yr NFL was fixed for the Pat's to win the superbowl cause of 9/11 and there other yrs nfl was fixed to so a certain team could win a superbowl like the Buccaneers most recently winning a superbowl in there own home stadium with brady at qb, u can't get more rigged and scripted the NFL pulled just like wwe sports entertainment.

In the 2000 preseason, New England played San Francisco. The Niners had just drafted Giavanni Carmazzi in hopes of grooming the next Joe Montana or Steve Young. The announcer even predicted that the next Joe Montana might be playing. The irony is that Tom Brady got to see limited action that game, and did well enough to make the team as the 4th string QB. Carmazzi got sacked twice that game, and washed out of the league a short time later

They only won that super bowl because of the Spy gate.. Pats literally taped the rams walk through practice just before the big game! They literally knew everything the Rams we're gonna do on offense and shut them down.. Rams installed new plays no one seen them run yet but they some how knew...Rams beat them here week 10 and should have beat them in the super bowl but regardless the pats still came out on top and it was a great game.. The raiders dropped some crucial games late in the 01 season to mediocre Arizona and Tennessee teams. If not for that, the raiders probably finish 13-3 and the tuck rule game is played in Oakland. The biggest problem with this rams team was they refused to pound the rock. Faulk was easily by far the best all around back in the league and probably the most lethal offensive player period. Yet Martz would get so hung up on dropping back and throwing it every single down. Warner was that dude and bruce/holt/hakim/proehl were probly the best overall wr core in the league but teams would just load up with 7 Dbs and martz still would throw into it. Had he utilized faulk more in running the ball they would have been even better. People are gonna wonder what I mean but those who were rams fans know exactly what I'm talking about

@@TheLocalLt Not that I disagree with your opinion, but the reason they went with the gold and navy was to represent the city they were playing in. Gold and Navy have a more "St. Louis feel" to them, so it made sense in that regard. The brighter colors do a much better job representing LA on the other hand. I agree that the throwbacks are the best, but at least understand that there was some logic to the decision. On a side note, I think it's stupid that they abandoned the horn on the shoulder.. There were a lot of head scratching moves during the 2002 offseason by the Rams and a lot of other teams.
