Awesome video! Love the advice in here! Got a few points I would add for viewers/readers, as well: #1. Block or Fill-Up corners you dont want them to poop/pee in! In the cage for example, put bedding or food/water bowls in the corners to block/fill them! OR place another litter box! They love corners, prefer corners usually, and you can see which ones they go to most often to decide litter box placement! And which other corners to block off or fill in with something else just incase! #2. Try to have two litter boxes or one oversized BIG litter box for more than one ferret! I noticed mine do not like to share boxes. Even if it's the good-sized high back kind like shown in this video (I have it), my female, Juliet, refuses to use the same box as her companion, Romeo! So I have to have two boxes if I want them to be willing to use them! #3. Love that you use paper pellets! Wooden and/or Clay is bad! Either unscented Potty Pads or Paper material that's as dust free as possible is GOOD!!!

Mine likes to move the litter box out of the corner, then poop in the corner. He will even rip the lock on ones off.

I was getting so discouraged with the litter training my ferret of one year randomly started to not use the litter box unless in the cage. I have my new baby separated from her right now but he just likes too pee where he pleases. Jjat going to have to be persistent!

I honestly don’t even know why am watching this video right now it’s completely litter box trained first day I brought him home I let them poop in the corner and then I felt a little litter pan with lid or put in that exact corner and put the poop from that corner in the litter pan and then he just started pooping in there and he hasn’t ever pooped anywhere else to this day I thought it was gonna take months because I looked at all the videos but it literally took the day I brought him home

i really wouldn’t mind cleaning up my ferrets mess but my house is literally full carpet and i want to free range my future ferret but i’m not trying to ruin my parents white carpet

I got mine (brother n sister both getting desex after next month health check then soon as possible! n just pick up poo until I head ore money but then I put kitchen roll say then I had more money so get litter stuff still early day but first day day not poo in it so I put the same stuff as u got with kitchen roll on top so hopefully they stick to it! I give u an update u given some good tops n it too 3/4 days to get use to me was biting a lot first two days I had to grab scruff of neck n hiss n I'm use vocal also I had to gent slap then n I mean very gently n go no n push away n it does help. If it a hard bite and there latched on n not letting go I give a gental flat on noise but the last resort Also they been running around for week n a half n I getting new cage on Tuesday I did help one from pet at home in uk n it was shot more bars off I been watching you video but I think if this doesn't work I try Sawdust there two 3/4 places they poo two in living room and one in bed door they done it could of time in front of front door but I kept pick it up also I no u have to be careful with sent n over cleaning. Also say it you videos a girl will need desex or will be on heat for rest of there life n get tell that 66 then health check 40 then the stuff let food n litter tray n toys is about 50 then cage is about 90 then do desex him is 88 then de flee is 10er then pet insurance is 30 a month 2000 over each at exotic pets t may come as rspca website it didn't for me... So you kinda need 300 to get it all done but to set in n start u need about 150 includes cage I got my ferrets for 10er n sister for 5er could not let them be lonely mate was like come on Chris get it so I did But don't let them get under sofa! They rip the padding out kinda had to shake sofa GENTLY N SAY STOP! N I stuff around sofa with own towl they not doing it ask much Also harness walking the fully adjustable ones not the padded ones the look more stylish because my at 5 month 3 week it didn't fit I had to get bitten to train n get to go exchange it from strap adjustable harness also is the bit them they can't rip

Now are they litter trained enough to keep them out of the cage 24/7

Great informative video. My young boy caught on real quick. But now when my older girl goes to use the litter box he wants to check it out so she will leave and sometimes potty in other places. I have learned to use 2 so she can run to the second box.

Hello I’m kinda late but Ik scents are bad for ferrets but I’m gonna be getting a ferret and I’m really excited but the paper pellets I seen always say light fresh scent IM VERY SLOW when it comes to reading but in it a natural scent or is it still bad for them

I have 2 ferrets but a quad size cage. If I block off the top and they have just the bottom which is 2 cage bottoms. Is that good? Or is that too much room for them to train?
