Neuroplasticity in children is recognised by science. This explains why children and young adults are very impressionable and have the ability to just learn stuff quickly.

People tried this with spoken language Esperanto but it didn't work. I don't think there will ever be a universal language. Even body language is different all over the world.

I mean this wouldn't work at all, you would need to create a whole new language and grammatical system. The grammar difference is so vastly different between some languages and even the amount of descriptive words in the language. It just wouldn't be possible.

There actually is. Two men, one from Ukraine and the other Japanese offering shelter to the war homeless, have re-begun teaching international sign language. Most students there are grateful because the level of their Japanese language is on different levels. Yes, we tried it before. We can do it again. Global communication can not leave everybody behind.@@CalmoOmlac

I hope she finds what makes her happy and finds a career down that path. If she would truly be happy, being a doctor, I'm all for it. However, if it's just to make the parents happy, no thanks.

@AC-ih7jc she has broader shoulders at that young age than most adults out there. Thankfully, just because you don't like responsibilities doesn't make a difference in this little girls life. I have plenty of responsibilities in my life, including being responsible for other peoples lives. None of those responsibilities make me unhappy. They bring more meaning to my life. Besides, who are you to determine what her abilities are? You obviously don't understand what children are capable of. Nor can you tell that this child enjoys what she is doing, by helping her mom in the kitchen. Her mom even tells her she can go play if she wants, but she just wants to keep helping. When it's the childs choice, how is that placing any type of weight on a kids shoulders that they can't handle? At least this mother has the patience to let her daughter help, in order to teach her how to live. The world is not a big scary place that is out to get you. Well, unless you allow it to be. Just because you choose to let responsibilities scare you, don't assume everyone has to do the same.

That's the best to invest in our kids then to let them sent all their day on gadgets that's tea Hi them to be criminals etc

I am sure when she grows up she will cherish all the amazing time she spent with her parents and for being such an amazing daughter. At least I wish I did.

This was my thought too. I empathize with how secluded the deaf community is from the rest of society, but a child should not have to be an interpreter for a business. Either hire and pay a real interpreter, or utilize technology to communicate quickly. At this point, they're just using her for free labor.

It's healthy for children to eventually grow away from the parents. Spending all day working as a translator, which is exhausting, in your parents' store is exploitation.

She's so young and it's sweet that she generously gets to retain 'a little of her childhood'? She should not be a convenient tool for her parents AT ALL! Our society really does not know where covert child abuse starts.

When a kid is forced to be mature that young, they wind up either going into a major depression as a teenager or rebelling and getting into drugs or worse. This child is being exploited. Forcing a kid to do an adult job is exploitation.

Actually, no. The way they're going, she's either going to be socially stunted and never leave their house or she's going to rebel from having to work all day long and wind up failing in school, getting into drugs or worse.

I watched a Spanish movie about this sort of thing once. In the movie the child struggled to go out and fulfil her own ambitions because while her deaf father was encouraging her to go out and do what she wants, her deaf mother knew that they'd struggle without her and made it known.
