My father was in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and worked here in the 1930's.

I was there in 2004 and bison were all over the road just wandering around. It was the coolest thing. Everyone was out of their cars taking pictures

I am a HUGE TR fan, so we went to both of the TR parks . So many stories from him abt the area. There were hardly any people there at all, which was nice.

Thank you, Elizabeth. I'm actually still stunned how mother nature can create so many marvels.

Stoked! Just found you researching for our summer trip. Some of that rock looked like elephant skin. Very cool. Great video. Thanks!

Oh Jay, you grew a Hefty Mustache (cover photo, nicely done). Your maybe petrified tree, interesting that it was on both sides of trail and looked like a trail worker cut the log 50 million years ago, because of the straight cuts. Proof of ancient human trail angels and cultures before the great deluge .

Love it! I hike the Caprock Coulee trail every year.

It's a beautiful hike for sure! It's amazing how it sends you through such a variety of terrain.

Jay, buddy, I really like watching your travels and your vlogs. But you concerned me on this one. Only five miles sure but...no sign-in, no water, certainly not even a band-aid, no anything else to wear, unaware of rattlesnakes (that place is crawling with them ...they love that terrain), no cell phone service and unaware of the terrain. What could possibly go wrong? lol I'm glad your back but geez, us old backcountry rescue folks are having a fit conniption.

Haha, yeah. I get a little complacent sometimes I'll admit it.

Nice video of this park that is one of the few parks I have never visited. Nice park to visit when so many are full. You mentioned you may be going to Croatia. There is a RU-vidr that is visiting there currently and has posted several videos of his travel there. You might get some ideas from his videos. See Gabriel Traveler
