@@imnotacat3798 that was true for a long time but now they often switch it up and Leigh sings the bottom harmony while Jade takes the highest pitch etc. it depends on the song, their abilities are SO impressive :D
Why their blend is so good? Cuz they know each other's voices. they know what their strengths are and what their weaknesses are.. I have seen a lot of Novice groups make this mistake. They will have a "belter" and the rest will harmonize behind it.. while it's a good technique they rely to much on that. The "belter" still needs to harmonize with others vocals. I think this is why little mix stands out cuz even on X-factor while their harmonies were not the greatest, they were still much more better than novice groups.
They never relied 100% in one of them. Perrie was amazing here but there was Jade and in this one was Leigh and in the other one was Jesy and that how you grow and improve. That's how they learned how to work around each other's range and voice and that's why vocally they are the biggest group in the past 2 decades, probably even more, it's sort of rare to see a group blend and harmonize and integrate so well, and not just singing...... They are a perfect combo singing, dancing, creating, talking, as friends.....
That guitar man though... I suddenly want to know his thoughts of working with the girls since he's been with them for a long time. To work with them and be blessed with those vocals is ughhhhh
They all just fit so perfect together every voice is showcased so incredibly well so talented and you can just tell they love their job because of their friendship
Such different voices, one is powerful one is deep and sexy one is like a princess and one is sweet as a candy yet their voices fit so well together. They're made for each other literally
They have such different voice. Perry has a strong voice, Leigh 's voice is clear, Jessy is sultry and sexy, while Jade has this sweet voice a la disney princess. What make their voice work with each other is the fact that they are such great bestfriends and they don't try to outdo each other. No matter how good your voice is, if you sing in a group you need to harmonize and that can not be done if everyone is trying to be the best one. Little Mix is a very balance group. They know who sings what part, they know each other strength and weakness, also all of them are willing to be the 'back ground' - not for all the song, but for certain parts. It's such a delight listening to them.
I love seeing how Confident the girls kept getting year after year. Leigh-Anne at the beginning always looked at the floor while she sang, and it really warms my heart that’s she’s looking up now❤️
They harmonize so well, because they practise a lot together, doesn't matter if it's singing or dancing, like some parts where like one of them is singing and the other girls are joyning it and sing that one word, just one, it takes so much practise, work , so it's sounds good, because if one of them would joyn to late, the harmonies wouldn't sound that good! They prove they're working hart, everytime, really every single time, even when they are laughing, they still sound great! I'm proud of how far they came and I'm proud to be a mixer

When you look at Destiny's Child you know Beyoncé is the star, when you look at the 5th Harmony and you know they just don't work without Camilla but when you look at Little Mix you see four women and they can't be compared to each other. All of them shines at once

I think Jesy had to minimize adding too much vibrato in her alto lines preventing her voice to stick out and Perrie had to hold back a little for her soprano lines to sit right with the harmony, Leigh and Jade had to project their voices more.
