Steph's SEDC makes it difficult for her to find a wedding dress that fits her. Will she be able to visualise these dresses in her size? Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
@@rylee_l yes, I agree, I just finished watch all lanchasire series and Gok really is a fairy godmother ♡ I just watch when the blind bride imagine herself as fox in a snow and I got tears, Gok is really something else!
She said that her top budget is 2000 $ and they show her dresses that are 200-500 $ more. Do they not realise that she has to do alterations too? So disrespectful...
agardieni it’s called “business”. It’s so retarded, but at the end of the day that’s what they care about. I would actually demand to see similar dresses less than $2,000 and keep firm on my budget.
right?! like off the rack 200-500 extra might be fine for some people since they don’t also have to pay for alterations but they have no off the rack dresses for her. i will never understand how someone can be so dense as to not understand that people have an absolute budget. it irks me so much...
@@debbievidal9536 They won't be making the dress from scratch. She buys the dress that is the size closest to her, and then they have alter it by cutting away all that excess, so yes, she is using up that material.
Right! I agree 1000% it was the most classy and best fitting... and that's what makes it classy. The yellow beige bodice in the 3rd gown makes the bride look ill. Why in the world would the old ladies say the First dress was too revealing and the third dress was not too much? Anyhow I hope the bride changed her mind before the wedding date...
Personally, I liked the first dress the best. She looked so elegant and it elongated her and made her look taller. And it seemed to fit her in all the right places. It was both sexy and elegant. But no matter what, she'll be a beautiful bride. Plus, the bit with the ring at the end...😭
When someone says their cap is 2000 but they would like to stay under, why do you lie to them in the beginning and say you can work within that, then you show them one over budget?
“Something blue” when I read the comment I didn’t get to the bit about the ring and just thought it was because dead people go a weird blueish grey colour lol
Fariha Siddiqui the version that does over budget thing regularly is the UK version, this is Lancashire which is in the UK too but not the same boutique. The Lancashire one usually stays within budget.
Yes very true. I experienced the same thing when I went dress shopping. The first boutique showed me dresses that were 200 to 600 hundred over budget. So I told the second boutique a lower number and was able to stay under my real budget.
I'm surprised that the consultant couldn't/wouldn't ask the owner of the salon if she'd be willing to reduce the price of the dress so that the bride could better afford the dress including alterations. Where was Auntie Gok?
I think this is the first time I've heard a mother of the bride on here say "I'm glad she stood her ground, and said 'you know what, mom? this is the one I want'" That's how you know she taught her daughter correct boundaries and that love and support don't come conditionally with pleasing the parental figure- she's going to have her back no matter what. Love that. ❤️
Why is the first dress she tries on immediately over budget? And in the other British show when another little person needed a dress she trie don cocktail dresses so she found a great dress that didn’t need to be altered pretty cheaply.
@@sarahkinsey5434 yes, David was the consultant for the other little person bride. The one whose statement about her fiancee brought everyone to tears.
I really really dislike them going over the budget. Especially in this case when the dress is going to need a lot of alterations and the total price will be even more. I count this a bad customer service :/
This makes me so sad! Love how they honored her father. Love how the mother completely supported her daughter's choice, and the daughter went with her choice!
I also liked the first dress the most, Steph looked lovely in that. I'm glad her entourage were kind and accepted her decision as Hers. Mum giving her the ring was special.
She's got guts standing up for herself even though her entourage didn't like the dress, and the entourage is wonderful for accepting her choice and being proud of her for doing so. The bit at the end with their dad just got me tearing up aaaaa I wish them happiness!
I literally went back and looked at the first one again, she looked like a little angel bride 👰♀ 😍 She's a beautiful young lady, I'm glad she chose the one she liked the most 💗
I was fine until the mother brought out the ring and then I started tearing up! What a special moment for them, and to include her father as the “something blue” is lovely.
What a wonderful thing that her mother came up with that - and if it's in the dress, then her dad will be walking her down the aisle. That was probably the best thing I've seen on SYTTD. Such a beautiful gesture.
I would've loved to see how it looked fully altered for her. I really liked that they tried on 'normal' dresses because I often think that the options for 'unconventional' brides are very limited
My family had a friend when I was younger who was a little person. She wanted a 'normal ' wedding dress but when she went to find dresses, they put her in Flower girl and jr. bridesmaid dresses. Needless to say, she went elsewhere and found a true wedding gown! That was back around '96, so times have changed for the better as far as inclusion!
Shes such a gorgous bride. I love the dress she chose. Her Mother is amazing, at the very end ensuring her Father was with her gave her a special gift.
Oh my God I'm crazy about the way she laughs...she is extremely sweet and also seems like a very kind and cute person. I wish the best things for her and her future husband 😊💐🌹 And I love the dress.it is ABSOLUTELY the one
I loved that 1st dress. It balanced her and the details were stunning. I'd love to see the one she chose once it's fitted properly. Wish they could do that on the show.
The first dress was definitely the most flattering on her because it balanced out her unique body shape, but I’m glad she stood her ground on what she wanted
Gorgeous little Steph looked stunningly beautiful in the first dress! The simply cut, well-fitting top directed attention to her lovely face, beautifully proportioned arms and shoulders! The fuller skirt balanced her well-endowed top half without swamping her at all. I wish she'd tried it again.... It was all too rushed.
Steph looked amazing in the 1st dress. It's her choice, but #3 did not flatter her at all. I love how the ring covers the bride wearing something borrowed and something blue, and that her dad's ashes will walk down the aisle with her.
That last scene was so touching. What a lovely family. So glad Steph is getting married and found happiness. Mothers need to see that their children are settled and happy. A marriage is so much more than a romance. Its a whole family change for the better.
