Anyone else notice the audience? They all had love and admiration for this man, they all had that in common. Little Richard did that to people, brought them together.
Yes Everone Loved Little Richard. I knew of him but really just got to Love him in 2020. My daughter candi ordered his. Novel for me. Will get it for my birthday sept 29 2020
Lil Richard was the world greatest rocker roller Doo booper ever very talented entertainment ever live I wish I could had the opportunity to meet him because he was a realize.Probadly won't ever be another Lil Richard.
I was fortunate to have met him after one of his concerts around 2003. It is by far one of the highlights of my life. I told everyone about him every chance I got for at least 2 years! He was a very humble person and treated me so kindly. I was very impressed. I'm so sad that he's gone now.
I guess Im randomly asking but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
Yes what a testimony he had. And in the end he loved God so much he became straight ..He was welcomed with singing angels into Heaven ❤ I could listen to his stories all day. A
Damn, like it or not Little Richard is the true King of Rock-n-Roll. This man knew The Beatles before they hit big, had The Rolling Stones opening for him while Jimi Hendrick's and Preston played for him. Elvis can't say this...not even close. My respect, Mr. Little Richard...R.I.P.
@frank regalado - settle down. Lol Yes it's always cool to hear Little Richard talk about these legends that he had a hand with and inspired. I am with you there. But look, do you have an even remote concept of just how many Legends / icons are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that have given interviews saying - "if it were not for Elvis..." - in their interviews? And Many Dozens of those other legendary greats have gone on record into extensive detail of just how powerfully that Elvis influenced and inspired them. Might want to actually research that a little bit. I mean it shouldn't be a competition. But let's not take the low-road of trying to make Little Richard somehow more special just because you feel those Legends he mentioned somehow make him better than Elvis. Hell, Little Richard himself had great respect for Elvis. He used to tell people he remembered back in the early days of rock & roll when it was just pretty much he & Elvis, more than any of the other rockers, that were selling the most records ..and that the kids were going crazy over the 2 of them the most. He talked about how saw all the Hate Elvis was getting, and Little Richard pointed out much of that hate was from racist white people. Little Richard dealt with that racist hate of course also. His drummer, Charles Conner was also a drummer for James Brown. Charles Conner is a legendary R&B drummer. He also documented how much he himself and Little Richard and James Brown all respected Elvis. He talked about one night when a bunch of white cops harassed him and Little Richard after a concert and those cops told them to - "Tell your n-word lovin' friend Elvis when he comes to town next week we're going to harass him also". And they did harass Elvis. This stuff is documented from those old newspapers back then Little Richard and BB King talked about how Elvis caught pure hell and how it wasn't an easy Road for him. They all had mad respect for Elvis. And out there in old archived newspaper and magazine interviews from 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 are interviews where Little Richard talked about how Elvis was Legit. In one of those interviews he talked about some of the people that ripped him off, BUT how he wouldn't tolerate people talking that shyt about Elvis, because L. Richard made it clear Elvis was not one of them. He talked about how Elvis always had his back and he even told a story about a favor Elvis did once to help him out. It meant a lot to Little Richard. And another interview he also said one of the things he respected about Elvis was, (unlike some of the other entertainers out there), Elvis didn't use his public platform to put other people down, he always tried to lift people up. I mean this was Little Richard talking about Elvis in interviews. And Little Richard was correct about that. Listening or reading the dozens of Elvis's interviews is evidence. (Not to mention also the hundreds of times Elvis did it from the stage throughout his years.) Chuck D from Public Enemy said years ago Little Richard called him out for dissing Elvis. I mean Chuck D admitted this in an interview himself. And Chuck D later acknowledged he was wrong about Elvis. He started having a lot of respect for Elvis after he researched more about his career back then and what Elvis went through. People don't know anything about this stuff. It's like people quit reading interviews years ago. Anyway point is let's just try to keep it classy. We can give Little Richard his props without the cheap shots at Elvis, like so many people like to do for some reason.
Oh yeah I hear it. Plainly in the music. He had the chops that everyone wished they had Young white dudes were just envious. Of the total electrical. Energy he infused.in2 his sound
This was a very extraordinary man. He like many grew up in church, I loved that he was a great story teller and so funny, he could have been very rich . He struggled with drugs and went back to church but he loved entertaining and went back and forth. He was so funny , I loved that smile he was truly a beautiful human being. And rock and roll would never been what it was with out him. God had other plans for him. He has a testimony and he was always truthful. Little Richard made me and many people smile may he now rest in peace. What a beautiful soul .
Little Richard was so funny and hilarious what an amazing talent he had & honest you can just tell he was fun to hang out with. I'm happy that he turned his life around for JESUS CHRIST. RIP MR. RICHARD PENNIMAN BEAUTIFUL SOUL 🕊️💜🕊️💜
Watching Aug 2020! This guy is the complete entertainer and a great singer, and he has all this energy everytime! Could listen to him the whole day. Rest in the Lord, Little Richard..
I have always loved Little Richard. His talent, energy and raw chutzpah has always been inspirational to me. I have laughed, shouted and cried as a result of his music and his mere presence. I am grateful for his presence here among us. May he rest in eternal peace...
@@eniepresley5867 'illuminestes'? Do you mean 'the illuminati' ? Anybody less like that I can't imagine. He belonged to the Lord all the way along but if you need proof, look at the last interview he gave ...
@@eniepresley5867 Again, I don't understand your English. You said: 'why he switched from gay to normal, when he respected the Lord so much'. You are not making sense. What do you even mean?
@@eniepresley5867 I have already told you what I know: Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls. Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’
@@Dvora777 I don't need to discuss anything with you, you don't need to be answering to me for any reason. They are all simply playing people under God's name. That's all. Little Richard does not care what you think...
This Spot gave Me a New Insight into the Tremendous Intellect of Little Richard. He could Talk, Walk, Sing and Play at So Many Levels. One of My Favorite Performers of ALL TIME.
The greatest of all times.... the lady interviewing him smiled all the way till the end of it. You could tell she enjoyed his humour. R.I.P little Richard. The Architect of Rock n Roll....Best of the best.
Little Richard was such a beautiful and delightful man. I hope and pray I'll meet him in heaven someday. I love you Little Richard. May you enjoy your eternal reward.
Amen!!! I sure hope I'll meet him in Heaven too ❤️. I love 💞 Little Richard. He was a talented singer and a very gifted and anointed Preacher of the Gospel.
I loved him as a kid and still do... only today I saw that he died recently and I found this interview and enjoyed it very much - love to you Richard, wherever you are now
The Greatest Rock-N-Roll Pioneer to ever walk the Earth. Eventhough he joked in front of the audience about other artists imitating his style, but this was true.
Whoa, one doesn't have to be a Christian to know that you're in church when Richard plays and sings. Thank goodness that we have videos like this to see and hear Mr. Penniman. 🥰
So, so amazing . I grew up hearing his music, yet I never really listened or cared for it. Hearing and seeing this interview has just blown me away. I am totally in love with him. You were a genius Little Richard. I hope you are continuing to play music in heaven.RIP
roxy lee i think he would have been taken alot more serious if he had ballads in the top 10 also. This guy was a huge talent along with elvis Chuck berry and buddy holly
Even without the hair and the makeup, he was such a pretty person, his eyes just full of mischief. I could sit and listen to him tell stories for days. Thanks for the music Richard, I hope you are at peace.
To live in an age where we can listen to Little Richard, James Brown, Otis Redding, Miles Davis, Art Tatum, Tom Waits, Los Tres Aces, Count Basie, the great bands from all over the world, Ellington at the drop of a hat, Tina, the great modern composers of film soundtracks, Nilsson, Aretha, Jobim, the Latin All Stars, Tito, Stan Getz, Hendrix, everybody. We are truly the lucky ones.
You know how people try to erase/forget history! It's a shame really. Elvis and the Beatles copied popular black music and they are not better or more legendary than Lil Richard. They tried though, I'll give them a B for effort.
@ Nobody is trying to erase history. More whites were going to see Little Richard, than blacks. I have always loved him, but he shouldn't be trying to take ALL of the credit. Elvis opened the door for black artists. Elvis had his own style. Yes, I know Elvis covered different people's songs, but he did them with his own style.
🎹 I SALUTE SIR. RICHARD 🎼 🎶 YES TRIBULATIONS TIMES IN OUR TIME!!!! 🎹 BUT THANKS TO THOSE TRIBULATIONS TIMES!!!! YOU CREATED YOURSELF THE VERY BEST IN 📀 ERA 🎼 🎵 🎹
Man! James Brown his vocalist! Wow! The True Originator! King of Rock and Roll! Trialblazet!! The Industry screwed him over! But in time. It was exposed and restored to him!
Jealousy and greed are terrible things that many people practice, many people will not give u your just due, but Thank God Lil Richard decided that God showed him the best recognition. I know you will be with him in the End❤
If you listen to him,his story is very sad. To hear a black man tell you that there was so many people against him because he was so black. He tells it with humor. I feel that Richard Penniman suffered a lot of scars. The point is he's American as it can get. His life was more than the music. They hear a whole lot of life those early songs. He was singing is heart out in the name of the lord. They heard God when he sang. They got excited because they didn't understand what they were feeling. Feeling the spirit of nature ripping down their spine through his mighty voice. Rest in Paradise King Richard.
I miss him in the buss. Some have tried( Kevin heart, has failed) but don't come close to his " shut up". classic, original, before this new age.millenial, contemporary what eve, what ever, ect, ect. I am glad he surrender all materials things and his Spirit and gave his testimony and gave his love, spirit to the one and only true GOD and repented of all dirty things and disappear for ever he will be where is day time for ever. Thank you Mr. Richard for the entertainment down here on earth.
