I could listen to little Richard all day.he thought my sister was crippled sitting in a wheelchair out front little Richard stop to invite her to a tent he was preaching Norfolk VA she jumped up let him see she was ok he was going to pray for her happened in the 1950s true story loved him always ❤
That's his mothers blood in him.kept him looking as well as he did. He was proud say she was native american from Virginia. I bet you she was a beautiful woman in many ways I believe he looked liked her. Will have find pictures research I know she passed in the 80s. Love and positivity. N.j.:-)
@@exterminateparasites3185 Jesus Christ. The same God. It's why he denounced his homosexuality from 1957- 2022. He says he was Pentecostal. Same as Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, BB KING, Lloyd Price, I could KEEP listing names!
He had the Holy Spirit on him. He was extraordinary. He might have been on the autistic spectrum as well. He invented many things. He’s the musical Alan Turing. Religious people need to understand that God made him in a unique way and he shouldn’t be judged for things that are between him and God, like sins.
Little Richard is 83 years old now in Nashville we see him he is real down to earth and so nice we Love Him he gives people books about Jesus nice person
How fascinating to see a serious Little Richard interview. What an interesting man. Whilst a big part of me wishes he hadn't turned his back on performing so that we could celebrate his talent by going to see him, I admire him more for sticking to his beliefs. A very brave man in so many ways.
People around the world love America and american culture because of Little Richard and people like him. They made America popular and with their music they enriched world culture.
Sasa Ivkovic That was long ago dude. I fear these days more and more people are disgusted by the USA and its useless proxy wars all over this world. Not to mention its vile Hollyblood propaganda and cut throat capitalism. The once mighty American middle class that made this country possible, has been all but wiped out. There's for the most part only rich and poor these days. It's still "god's own country" ofcourse..........
***** Yes you are right and the majority of people in the world know that.I tried to leave politics out of art and culture.People like American culture and USA because people like Little Richard but dislike it because of its politics. World would be a better place without politics and politicians.
Every once and awhile we get a great one. Thanks to the interviewer, and it was super fun listening to Little Richard. I don't comment much on any video I watch, but about 4-5 months ago I commented, and it was about this very thing...the interviewer letting the interviewee speak and continue with her/his thought before going to the next question/comment.
My favorite singer of all times. I visited his home where he was a child back in April, put them on my facebook. I have written him about 8 or 10 letters with no response. but , God willing, I am going to ring his door bell in the next 10 days.I have bought every record I can find of his. I love him.Peace
I knew lil richard was half native american...his smile and high cheeck bones...plus he always had a spirituality about him that showed both worlds...May GOD accept him into the heavenly kingdom....
What I admired most, I've already have Jesus n my heart... The heart felt, admiration and respect, the interviewer gave, Mr Little Richard, at the last three seconds of the interview, God Almighty bless and have a good day today 🙏....
Me too! Although, I wished that I would've accepted the gift of a rhinestone alligator broach he offered me, but, I was 16, too young to know what to do with a gift from a gay black man. LOL
Little Richard is amazing and he could dress from head to toe we saw his family out one day they were all dressed real nice from head to toe I guess it runs in the family the ladies had on Hats and Gloves Little Richard is nice in person down to earth we see him all the time out here in Nashville we Love you Richard
Awh you're so lucky you get to see him out and about... I know he's in a wheelchair now, but does he talk to his fans ever? Or sign autographs? Just wondering. :)
RIP Little Richard. You were a good egg. Thank you for writing such brilliant songs. You did well my son. Peace be with you. The world loves you more than you'll ever know. God bless you.
He's the biggest on earth. He did introduced all of the others even the beatles, rolling stones, etc.... all of them. he's the greatest legend on earth.
Little Richard is responsible for the paradigm shift in the arts that defines our times. He defines our times. From the mid fifties to today, Little Richard, without exaggeration, is the single most important artist today.
It wasn't a truck driver from Tupelo Mississippi but a dishwasher from Macon Georgia who started rock and roll. Please never forget that... Give him the respect he deserved.. It should have been done when he was alive to appreciate it. R. I. P. LITTLE RICHARD... your music will never die.... You keep a knocking and heaven will let you in.. Ooh my soul......
I am 14 years old. And I have 10 Little Richard records, a couple of Little Richard CDs play in the car, 8 Little Richard posters (some are rare too), his biography, and some Little Richard T-shirts. I know, I don't sound like your typical 14 year old girl :D
No, you sound better, smarter and wiser, able to appreciate real, true music that comes like a scream from the bottom his soul, of freedom, a release, you can really feel something when you hear Little Richard sing and scream. Raw talent. RIP. 🕊🙏🎹
I love to see a very respectful interviewer who recognizes that allowing the person being interviewed to speak as long in response to a question as they want. You get to see the charm of the human that Little Richard was. Thank you .
Mr. Little Richard - You opened doors for alot of people who otherwise wouldn't have had the opportunity to come out and not necessarily out of the closets but out of the ignorance of mindless people. You are an inspiration for alot of people and I thought you'd like to know that.
Thank you little Richard the architect of rock'n'roll for the day I was dancing next to you on stage .i will 4ever love you. Long live rock'n'roll & God save the the King
I love his energy and he actually sounds nice even singing quietly (for him); I like him singing gospel as well as rock he is the definition of versatile and originality
It's a shame nobody knows who he is, even after all these years. You're complete right. He is amazing and very talented at what he does! He was the man who inspired Elvis Presley. He was the man who inspired The Beatles. And Michael Jackson. And James Brown. And Bob Seger. And SO MANY OTHERS. How his name is hardly heard these days is still unknown to me. Some people like Pat Boone owe their ENTIRE CAREER to Little Richard. Maybe it's this generation. Kids these days don't wanna listen to the "old stuff". That's pretty ignorant in my opinion, since I am 15 and I gave Little Richard a chance a long time ago. Anyways, yes, he's really got it all!
+Mr.Sickboy Pat Boone doesn't owe anything to Little Richard. Little Richard covered white artists like Elvis and Pat Boone as much as they covered him. Pat Boone's main success was his ballads like Moody River. As for Elvis, Elvis was inspired by a lot of people but I doubt he was inspired by Little Richard who gained notoriety in 1955. Elvis started in 1953. He did heavily influence James Brown though. People don't know Pat Boone either, or Chuck Berry or Jerry Lee Lewis or Carl Perkins. Elvis is the only one to come out the 50's a superstar. Some people know Johnny Cash as well but mostly because of his movie which became a surprise hit at the box office in the 2000's.
Tone It doesn't matter, Elvis started in 1954 before he knew who Little Richard was. Elvis covered his songs but Little Richard covered a lot of Elvis' songs as well. Covering songs was a way to fill up an album back then, everyone did covers to fill up their LP's. Elvis has never sang in Little Richard's style for anyone to say Richard's influenced Elvis. If covering someone means you owe them something than I guess Whitney Houston owes her entire career to Dolly Parton for the song I Will Always Love You.
Tone What did I say that was wrong? You being a musician with no name for 50 years does not qualify you to know more than me about these issues. Elvis started in 54. Little Richard covered a lot of Elvis songs, artists did covers frequently back then, Whitney Houston covered Dolly's song. Which part of these is wrong and how does you being a musician give you any credentials to know more than me on any of the FACTS that I stated.
Utter superstitious nonsense. Stop believing in garbage nonsense you have zero evidence for. Btw, what does 'god's book' say about homosexuality? did 'god bless that?
I just stumbled on this, big fan. My parents were contemporaries of his, and when he would come on the radio the whole house would drop everything to dance. Bless Little Richard Penniman.
All those vocal chops and guitar licks Rosetta could do with ease. She was a great influence on Tina Turner....Chuck Berry...all of the stars...Keith Richards..jagger..alll Of them even little richard.
That was a GREAT interview. I feel in my heart that " Little Richard " was the true King of Rock and Roll. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to hear his music and also hear his testimony. Amen.
Love this interview with Little Richard, I heard him in such a different light, he was soft-spoken and kind. He even was forgiving and kind to those who leaped off his back to succeed at his expense as well. I am so happy he did eventually receive what was due to him although he was the last being served in spite of the fact that he was the author of what others unduly received. America did not show equality to this man as all people of color, as a matter of fact, it's the fallen nature of man that wills it this way among all nations of the world. This man taught clearly as he entered his 70s the wisdom he garnered through his love of God and hard life.
Little Richard is such a inspiration. God has blessed this man to originate and create despite his many struggles endured through time. This interview has shown his beauty from within. He's truly a unique and beautiful soul. Only god can create such a beautiful spirit and inspiration!!! I think he's amazing.
Gotta love Little Richard! One of our greatest performers of all times. You just keep on speaking the truth man, keep on performing as you do. Your music, your soul, your teachings will live on forever. I truly love your music...............
Fascinating interview. I've never seen a serious interview with Little Richard, just talk show stuff. I wish Americans would give tribute to people like Little Richard while they're still alive. Europeans come across the ocean to see pioneers like Chuck Berry and Little Richard, we ignore them. Then when somebody dies everybody runs out and buys their stuff. Weird.
Mr. Notes, truth if I ever heard it! You know this is? We are too familiar with them and Prejudge them! People outside that circle take them at face value! The Person. The Talent!! Bottomline.
citizenclose Oh yes ? When was the last time you bought a cd from this undeniable once musical genius ? Since 1970 he's more known for his bibble babble, butt fucking and drug use. Despite that he remains a legend just for his 50s 'Specialty' catalogue; which after all started it all.
Little Richard is one of the kindest musicians in this business, especially to the up and coming talent of this world. For someone who is so flamboyant and talented he is also humble before his Lord. This is why he is here when others are gone. God does not judge us on our shortcomings, the way we look or our ethnic backgrounds. He only judges us according to how much we love others and how much we are loved by others. Little Richard's career and life is a testimony of God's love for us all. Sometimes it takes a man like this to break the ice and the hatred that we experience in this world. He will be counted among the saints for his good deeds and his understanding of God's truth. None of us are perfect but we are all family in Christ. To Little Richard, God Bless.
Lord... I always listened to his more wellknown hits (thanks pops), but only recently I delved a little deeper into his personality. What a legend this man is.
Ooooo I love those shoes! I love listening to this man talk. It's like being at church listening to your favorite sermon. I'm taken by his unique spirit.
Little Richard is The Giant of rock music history. No matter how much he says about himself its still not enough. His importance cannot be overstated. I also notice that after he spoke about the horror of segregation, the interviewer then tried to put him right back in that box by asking about ''rap'' music. As if Richard was only qualified to speak about ''black'' music. Some things never change.
That's right, he overcame a lot of obstacles in his life during that time, some people don't understand those things. All the great musicians, including some British can't say enough great things about him and how they were inspired by his talent, originality and honesty, and was truely a man of fauth. RIP now dear friend, you will be missed.🕊😚🙏🙏💖
Agree, Elvis loved black musicians, and he loved Gospel music. Many talented musicians, including British groups like The Animals, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles admired and followed Little Richard before they were famous. And met Little Richard when he was over there. Little Richard was a Giant of Rock n' Roll, You will be missed. We love you, RIP now.🎹🕊🙏💖
+Tanmag Lemmy is great but he don't come close to Little Richard I remember seeing that I forget what show it was but the guy from Foo Fighters and Nirvana was there and I remember thinkin none of these guys should be saying anything about Little Richard but Thank You
we are glad to hear from little Richard we still in joy your singing but to know you are sharing the word of God in speaking and in your song and to know are living for God keep on doing what u do for the Lord God ever bless u and your Teresa Charles Mundell and Famliy
