Who's here after watching the trailer for the 2019 version? 🙋‍♀️

90’s films were so innocent. I sometimes miss that form of storytelling.

The perfect Little Women adaptation. This is the one I grew up with and which influenced so many aspects of my childhood--everything from my love of reading to my becoming a writer. I love Jo March's strength and independence! Winona Ryder *owned* the role.

Judging from the preview, the new version will not have the same warmth as this one. These actors act and speak in a manner that is far more true to the time. I don't know how to describe it, but older period dramas has this dreamy, innocent air that modern ones completely lack

I watched the 2019 version, and this one is better. I think it's more true to the characters, i don't know why, i just love this. This gives me heartwarming feeling, especially now that I read all little women series.

This version is for me the absolute perfection. There's not an inch to add not one to subtract in the whole artistic endeavor of all, everyone and everything . This is the one made with the most sensitive heart and with the utmost understanding of human behavior . If I want to see Little Women, this is the one I will always play. Sorry for the new attempt. It wants to be so many things...and it has good parts, only separately; but not in a concert, like this one.

I feel like one of the only people in the world who didn't like the 2019 version. This one had more warmth and heart and I appreciated the fact that it *didn't* treat Jo's relationship with Friedrich like a joke.

I prefer the 1994 movie version but the 2019 film is undeniably another great adaptation of Little Women. Both amazing films.

Am I the only one who prefers this 1994 version to the 2019 version

After reading quite a lot of comments, am I the only who actually liked the 2019 version? 😂 i love everything (-Timothee or whatever you spell that) All I can say about this version is that I respect it. Obviously, we wouldn't have these versions without the first ones right.

For me the drawback of this version is - that the chemistry between Jo and Laurie is so strong throughout the whole movie, that their love for Professor and Amy seem very unconvincing. As if they ended with them only not to be left alone. And it ruins the idea and the plot, at least ruins a little..

I don't think the 2019 version can live up to this masterpiece

I have never noticed winona in this movie until watching the trailer again. I prefer this one from all the remakes because this is just beautiful

No matter what, the cinematography, art direction, set design and soundtrack in this Little Women is enough to transport audiences back to Massachusetts circa 1860. Little Women (1994) is more proof that the 1990s is one of the greatest decades in film history.

I remember this girl who I was friends with back in elementary school she had an older sister and both of them were big fans of this movie and the book . I ended up watching and listening to them read this ALOT . I had big crushes on Meg and Beth

For me personally, I grew up with this version and I watch it every year at Christmas. It is pure perfection! I'll watch the new one but Winona Ryder will always be Jo in my mind. And I know this shouldn't bother me (I know Christian Bale is British and played Laurie) but none of the girls in the new one are American. I love Emma and Saoirse and I know they're both capable but I dunno...

I liked the 94 version than the 2019 version. I watched it back then. For me, the 94 version captured my heart and irreplaceable. I never bored to watch it. I also have a few version of the novel in English and mandarin.

The 2019 version is fine but I'll always cherish this movie more deeply. I feel like the cast can't even compare. I mean it can't get better than Ryder, Sarandon, Bale, Danes and (little!) Kirsten Dust. They were all legends.

1994 ver is forever my favourite

I remember seeing this film in a theater when it first came out with my wife and daughters (5 and 9 years old). Those two little girls were so mesmerized by it and the looks on their faces will stay with me till the day I die. Just one of the reasons I love this film.

wow. the remake legit stayed true to the original. so so good to see.

Years after Little Women was published, and people still whinge and whine about 'Jo not ending up with Laurie' . No wonder LM Alcott vengefully paired Amy to Laurie instead in the following books.

Wow I always delay watching this because I thought the 2019 is great and this would upset me but it did not omg this is so good. I like this version more honestly but the 2019 was also great. Just Winona Ryder is an absolute beauty. She looks like Keira Knightley or is it just me? They speak the same way the way their mouth moves. Such great story about a very functional family and I love the sisterhood.

I taped this on VHS from cable but I can't find it! Lol! I might order this version and the 2019 version to compare! I've seen the one on PBS a few years ago, the one with Katherine Hepurn, the one with Elizabeth Taylor and the TV versions from 1977 and the 1980's!

My Parents watched 1994 version and I'm a fan of 2019 version.

I’m about to watch this movie for the first time

This was the very last movie being shown at The Madison Theater in Albany New York on the old enormous screen.... never to be used again after this run.... it was broken up into five little screens... very sad it was to see it go. My mother, my grandmother and at the time, my 3 year old in a teddy bear dress went to see this. 4 generations of women we were.... all dressed up, we went for dinner and a movie. It was the last time we ever did that with my Gram. She developed Alzheimer’s a few years later. Whenever this movie is on, my world just stops and I must watch it. My daughter still has all 5 dolls that were put out by Ashton Drake (I believe?) made to replicate this version of the movie. Why am I here today??? My neighbor just gifted me a handmade quilt that reminds me of Little Women after seeing a video of my own granddaughter jumping on my canopy bed. She said it needs one of her quilts. I told her that her beautiful quilt with wreaths reminded me of this movie and that she has to watch and sent her this clip. I will have to watch it too in my canopy bed later tonight and reminisce about a time in my life I truly cherished. I am blessed to have been given this handmade quilt today and for my memories ♥️♥️♥️

I must say, i prefer little woman 1994... saoirse ronan? Good job for her, she nailed itu.. i even dont want compare here with winona, because both of them have an unique way to life up josephine march.... But other than that?? Plot, essential scene, another cast, movie setting? Just not that, or maybe because i expect something more than 1994? Over all little woman 1994 won my heart..😁😁😁
