Context means nothing when you're as cautious and insecure as someone like Liv. They take things at face value because it's much easier to believe the worst in someone and be comfortable in that viewpoint than believe the best and be paranoid that it will ultimately end in you being proven wrong. Obviously Tristan was a genuine guy that really cared about Liv at that point but Liv was way too guarded to let herself see it. She's so fragile that any bump in the road will spook her because of all the unlucky past relationships she's been in. It's so difficult for her to trust because she's so scared of betrayal.

@@baked_alaskai understand your point of view, but maybe consider how liv felt: liv started to really like tristan and they became intimate to the level of sex. when you have sex with someone you like, and it isn’t just a one time thing, your feelings for the person will grow. tristan liked liv but still had lingering feelings or at least thoughts about his ex, verity. tristan and liv then slept together again, and all was well.liv finally let her guard down for tristan. all of a sudden, the same liv who lets her guard down, hears the man who she likes, says to his ex “shame we didn’t have breakup sex”. liv, understandably, puts her guard back up. i don’t think there is any context which makes this comment ok , whether intentional or not. let’s not blame liv for the way she felt.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with her for doing that. Not sure if you’re just pointing it out or judging but remember we are all complex beings and no one wants to get hurt, so people protect themselves. Rightly so.

@@kubrajade6387 Yeah I’m not judging, I’m just pointing it out because I’m the same exact way. The only downfall is we might actually miss a great opportunity because we’re too scared to get hurt or we make assumptions on how it’ll go, but sometimes we just gotta take those chances and risk getting hurt to find the right path :)

Tristan said something like "we should've had break-up sex" but he meant when they broke up *at that time*... he wasn't saying "let's have sex now, even though I want Liv". That would be ridiculous. For Liv to cry over that comment when she's lead guys down the garden path (Digby) or slept with their best mate after breaking up with them (Miles), is really rich. NONE of the MIC lot should EVER be judgmental about this stuff anyway. They've all done shitty things. Practically all of them have cheated at some point.

I agree with your comment in terms of Liv's behaviour, but the girl code thing is stupid. Really stupid. Guys have a similar thing, and obviously it won't sit well to see your friend with your ex, BUT if they both truly like each other, you need to not be selfish and let them be happy. Any friend that has a falling out over someone dating an ex strikes me as possessive, someone who says "if I can't have him none of you can!" A friend would be happy that their friend is happy. That's it.

@@OrderOfMagnitude1 I agree with you. It's dumb to stop two people falling in love if it absolutely happens naturally and healthily. If I have an ex, she's really not my business anymore. You kind of would need to just get over it and move on. People sometimes meet in odd and mysterious ways and we shouldn't be the idiot to stop that from happening.

@@CharismaStrategies this concept used to rub me the wrong way in the past. Then at some point I realized that the issue wasn’t the fact that a friend had ‘betrayed’ me but that it was more than anything a deep rooted, own insecurity I had to sort out. Sometimes you really have to sit with yourself and reflect on what the underlying reason is why something even bothers you in the first place. That being said, I fully agree with you 💯

This, I find, and in my honest opinion, is why I have very little sympathy for the majority of them in these types of situations. Whenever a situation like this happens they always seem to both listen to and take advice from people who just enjoy other people's drama and leave them when it all kicks off. If anything, the people in these show's don't half create their own problems only to then wonder why it happens at all.
