noah shana if a shiny Hunter gets a shiny Pokémon they weren’t trying to get and they try again to get the one they wanted, the first shiny is the shiny from phase 1 and they are going on to phase 2 to try and get the one they wanted.

These are encounters, not resets. I watch stuff while I hunt, join calls etc. It's really not as bad as you may think.

bear boye I believe a phase is where you’re hunting for a specific shiny but encounter a different one. Phase two would start the moment after your encounter with that unintended shiny ends. (I think this is what it means)

First of all, thank you, I appreciate it. Secondly, I can understand why it might be bizarre. Statistically, I shouldn't have needed to do so much for a single Spheal as it has an overall catch rate of 76% but that's life. 1) There are some things you can only get in the SZ. Spheal for example, in HG/SS is only available there. 2) The encounters are also very fast as you don't need to send a Pokémon out every battle. 3) The risk vs reward is very exciting. Yeah it sucks to lose them but getting them is worth it when you do catch them. Hope this helps somewhat. This hunt is mostly an exception for something such as Spheal as it has such a high catch rate. To fail two 255 catch rate Pokémon in the SZ is (practically) unheard of. Good luck on your hunts!
