It certainly would have been a far more compelling defense rather than plucking randoms outta nowhere and forcing some tenuous links that dont add up. I think perhaps the reason why they _didnt_ go with Klines or Ron Logan was because they were all subject to a far more scrutinous and thorough investigation than the Odinists ever were. There would be far more on record for the prosecution to work with in order to easily shoot down and defense claims. It wouldnt be left hanging in the air unanswered to cause reasonable doubt. D'ya know what i mean?

The problem is after a few years of looking into the Klines police never found any proof Kegan or his dad were in Delphi that day, so I think the point of approving 3rd party perpetrators at hearings before the trial is to not waste time of the jurors/everyone at the trial since police would just get on the stand and state they thoroughly looked into the Klines but nothing directly tied them to the murders even though Kegan talked to Libby that day online.

@TomWebsterChannel I understand. But that is why the standard is not placing them there that day but the word Nexus is used. If the standard was they must prove they were there that's what the law would say. If there was not such a strong nexus tieing the klines to the crime police wouldn't have spent years on it in the first place. I think the fact that the police themselves felt there was such a nexus for years is evidence they meet the standard to be presented as Denny suspects. I pretty much stand right where you do on thoughts of RA's guilt. But I think Gull is making a mistake here. I could certainly see an appellate judge saying there was enough of a Nexus tieing klines to crime. Kegan admitted to being there, supposedly their are electronic communication where he says he was supposed to meet them that day. He erased his phone containing communication to the girls. The standard is not prove they were at the crime scene or committed the crime. The legal definition of nexus is " connection to" folks online have added the erroneous extra standards thay the defense must place them there. There is a clear nexus to the crime and the klines. Again if there wasn't one police wasted years. It also wouldn't be the first time police investigated a person could find enough evidence to charge but Years down road realize they had the right guy and locked up the wrong one. I agree with odin suspects being out, none have been shown to have committed disgusting sexually motivated crimes against the girls Kegan Kline has been proven to have committed disgusting sexual crimes against libby

@TomWebsterChannel also I don't feel it's a waste of time for jurors to hear things police disagree with. I think that's why we have trials. If we were supposed to just accept the police got everything right and never missed anything or mis filed any information thay could prove one was the killer than we wouldn't need trials. That last point is very interesting pertaining to this case isn't it? Police investigators on this case have openly admitted they are capable of mis filing critical information. So I should just accept they didn't do that with klines? Why?

What if the video of Rick's cell shows no guards where around on April 3, 2023 when he used his tablet to call his wife and mom and said he killed Abby and Libby? If I'm on a jury, I'm not buying that as coercion.

That's ridiculous. Also the Os had been ruled out and RA arrested. If they had done it via spacecraft drop in (they didn't), they wouldn't have a single reason to go at RA, his arrest would have tickled them, no need to do a thing to him. Why? Also there is no tie between the guards and the men the defense named. It's all one lunatic theory. The D needs to place the blame where it belongs, squarely on their own shoulders. They left their client sitting high and dry without even attorney contact or support. Then they dump papers on him without their presence or counsel. No one ever saw him to say we will be here for you and talk to NO ONE or it can be used against you. They've been covering their own butts, period. I've never been so disgusted by defense attys, nor seen any so bad that I actually feel sorry for a perp I believe to be guilty. Back to your comment, that is NOT proof, I don/t know how anyone can think that. It was a dumb choice and should not have been allowed and it is simply something the D then tried to weave something out of and use, and failed to do so. They could have had any patch representing anything and all that would show is they were wearing a patch whether it be guard patches or badges, an O symbol or a Boy Scout badge, It sure the heck isn't proof or evidence of a thing, and certainly not of coercion or forced confessions. Which by the way was a total hypothetical by the defense. I could show up there wearing 50 symbols of various groups, now prove to me I then coerced something. How is that proof? Again that's ridiculous.

Hi, I just did look up that case and it said his confession was after a grueling 24-hour police interrogation which is different than RA alone in his prison cell picking up the tablet to call his wife and mom and tell them he is a double child murderer.

Agree. The timing also doesn't match up. I just don't understand how he thought that theory makes sense unless he didn't know facts like Witness 4 and the group of girls seeing BG.

Yes, Judge Gull forbade the Defense from mentioning it at the trial, but the Defense tried to appeal her decision and she rejected it.

Well if im not mistaken, at the pretrial they said RA's registered/regular phone wasnt shown as being at the trail that day, but 3 phone numbers were in the area. We know one of these is Libbys phone. Im assuming the other was eye witness BB's. Obviously RA says he had a phone in order to watch his stock ticker. It implies either he was lying or that he had a burner phone. (Hopefully/presumably one was recovered at his house during the search) Im interested to know if any of the eye witnesses who saw him that day actually physically saw him holding a phone at any point too. Not that it means anything necessarily, it could have been nothing more than a prop. Im curious all the same.

If they did manage to recover this same phone that he apparently took to the bridge it will have been forensically analysed and they can absolutely tell how long he was using the phone, how long he spent on each app, what time he unlocked his phone, what way up he was holding the phone.... they'll have it all.

RA's phone activity that day has not been referenced in any filings by the Prosecution or Defense. It will be very interesting. Hopefully, it was still available 5 1/2 years after the fact.

Id like to believe that too... however those facts are out in public already, yet many people choose to believe fantasy over the actual facts and evidence presented to them. It would only take one Juror.....i cant believe people are falling for satanic panic tabloid stuff in 2024 yet here we are. The Defense are obviously persuasive to some. its not worth the risk. 😕😬 Moreso its not right to allow absolute hogwash to be admissable when evidence is required if they want to claim Third Party. They cant just ignore that legal requirement to provide evidence to back their claims for the sake of juicy plot

Hi, it doesn't really seem like it's just Judge Gull's decision, there are specific guidelines about mentioning 3rd party suspects confirmed by the Indiana Supreme Court and the Defense didn't meet the threshold with admissible evidence during the 3 days of hearings, so Gull doesn't want to waste time at the trial and allow the Defense to present this huge theory which Click and Murphy will just get on the stand and say nothing showed any of these guys were at the crime scene that day. I understand your point, but also agree with Gull's decision.
