A great interview needs a great interviewer, and a great interviewer knows the subject, their history and how to tease out interesting information that others don't with friendly banter in none confrontational way. Joe you're a great interviewer. Enjoyed this so much - cue Nerdville binge watch!
I discovered Joe Bonamassa through Michael Hutchence's video of "Good Time" with Jimmy Barnes..(I love my Aussies) it was a happy accident I'll tell ya! My RU-vid recommended "Drive" and that's ALL she wrote! Now my husband and me are listening to JB, Beth Hart and so many others and never looking back! The Power of Music! 🎧😎
Great show, Joe I love shows like Daryl’s and Jools Holland’s, real live shows, introducing past and emerging artists. Great questions and information, thank you! 👍🏻🎸🍊
I've always loved their music. This will be another enjoyable interview. Thank you, Joe, for your love and interest in journalists; it’s another passion of yours that brings us, your fans, a moment of pleasure. Just being sincere. NO BS.
Joe this is very cool .First hand knowledge is always the best . I live 30 miles from the Rock Hall and refuse to go there . These people at the Rock Hall that decide who's in or out have no respect for The Music History and for those who have paid there dues and brought us to where we are today and as a musician I find it aggravating to say the least. Great love and respect to you both from the Cleveland area.
Thank you Joe , two of my admired musicians having a great chat ,I really enjoyed that. I once went to the Rock and Roll hall of Fame . I was asked what did you think ? I said , rock and roll can't be put in a museum, the only validation needed is the music and the reaction it produces . I miss T Bone .
Never a real big fan Of Daryl Hall until I saw the first live at Daryls House . Went back through there catalog of music by Hall and Oats and just Daryls stuff and it is eye opening what they did and what great musicians they are , just incredible . I’m glade to see Joe included Daryl on his live from Nerdville show , great interview.
this was a great interview. i love hall and oats. i can't tell you how massive that band was for someone my age. you were just immersed in their music, first with am/fm, rockline, and of course with mtv. and i think joe's perspective as a working musician and a fan really brings a unique and interesting element to the interview. i can't recommend daryl's house enough. some truly magical musical moments on that show. thanks ;O)
A few months back, word was that Live From Daryl 's House would be returning with new episodes. Since then...crickets. LFDH was easily the best music show on TV. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'd welcome its return.
Great interview!!! Love live from Darryl’s house.. ck out ,i can’t go for that with ce lo green. AWESOME!!! Oh hey Joe don’t forget at the end of the interview plug all your guest’s going’s on. Love ya your the best!
Great show... Captivating. Been a fan of DH for years, but never saw him live. Really enjoy the "Live from Daryl's house" shows I have had seen. I'm a below average guitarist (aka a bad one that just loves to play!! LOL) and love how they interacted and made awesome music on that show. Great interview, Joe. Hope to catch you live again soon (last time was March 2019 in Chicago).
Hey Joe and Daryl, I really enjoyed this video, great insight about the music biz and the dodgy going on's of Record labels. This was a brilliant interview !
Another great interview, Joe! Thank you! Miss Live from Daryl's House. My fav episode was the butch walker one. They do killer versions of "The closest Thing" "Say it isn't so" and "why was it so easy." 3 killer songs that don't get the attention of some of the H&O's bigger hits. daryl's "house" bands were the bomb. Shane Theriot-who took over for paul pesco i think, is a monster in his own right for anyone who doesn't know his stuff.
Will be good to see another one of Joe’s interviews. 😊 Have missed listening and chatting on Joe's “Fueling Musicians” live streams lately. Hope he starts posting them on RU-vid again. Have missed you, Joe!!! ❤️.¸¸.☆
I like both of Joe's music and watching the Daryl's House show. I also like any of Eric Clapton's "Crossroads" music festivals. I wish there were more rock and blues shows on television. Something big and loud. Because I crave watching the bands. I just think there aren't enough. Anyways, I have just have enjoyed your conversation. And let's hope that 2021 is a nicer year.
When you get a chance, Take a look at “ HEART “ ❤️ playing STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN for the Kennedy center arts ,and crank it up ! That will cure alittle bit of your concert pain ! Then take two pills of Joe Bonamassa playing live at the Royal Albert Hall , then chase that down with WHITESNAKE LIVE IN CONCERT , and you should be back to normal , ....ok 👍🏻
my fav LFDH is first one with Tod Rundgren....want of a nail still slays me! Only thing better if Bobby Womack could have been there! Would have been epic as a trio! One of my fav tunes EVER, and I am 65 and grew up listening to tiny am radios..from England in early 60's with jukeboxes in the bowling alley on base to Now...Want of a Nail has Never been more significant as now...for this country
Joe you and Daryl should hook up and do something at the house together, after THIS THING get's under control OF COURSE. Love the interview and stay safe ✌️✌️✌️✌️
tommy shaw was obviously tentative in his visit to the house. but once everyone started playing you could see his whole body relax. of course the band nailed it every time. that's nice to SEE.
I think Live at Darryl’s House 🏠 was a great show. I found several clips of it here on RU-vid. I think my favourite is the Billy Gibbons episode. As for Sony pushing John Mayer more than you Joe. I think 🤔 at the time he was more marketable, especially with women. He was dating or at least being seen with actresses and models out and about in LA. Getting his name in the papers and on ET and E! While you were touring your butt off .
Michael Bill It means you didn’t pay for it so you got your money’s worth. You’re not wrong about the quality but you didn’t bother to say one good thing about the content.
In watching these two together, you see just how lacking humility Joe is and that he does it for ego gratification while Daryl is a true artist. Daryl's wisdom and insights should really be listened to by everyone in the music industry. Thank you Daryl for all that you do and are.
I disagree with your first statement. Who are you that you know exactly what is in a person’s heart and soul? Different people have different personalities, and so do the people in the audience. Not everyone is going to appeal to everyone else, but a blanket put-down statement is not called for at all. Joe does much to help the music community…the KTBA Foundation being one. Negativity helps no one.
@@M._Lou You're absolutely entitled to disagree and I don't claim to know anything "exactly". It's an observation. A personality is exactly that... A reflection of one's heart and soul. So is their music for that matter. It's not a put down. Interesting that you see it that way. It's simply a side by side comparison and observation. That's nothing to take away from all that Joe does for music. I enjoy every one of these interviews for example. So my question to you is... Who are you that you feel like you know what's in my heart and soul that you feel that you can attack me for expressing my opinion in a very short post?
@@stevesmith3033 ... Hello Steve - Generally speaking, when someone is accused of lacking humility, it is meant in a pejorative way, and not as a positive trait. But that’s just my observation. Perhaps you did not mean it in that way. I do not know what is in your heart and soul obviously, and I made a specific effort to not attack you but, instead, just to disagree with your first statement and to give reasons. I don’t feel attacked just because someone disagrees with me. I am sorry if my comment made you feel that way. I am so accustomed to reading put-downs here on RU-vid that I thought, “well here we go again.” I’m sorry that I may have misunderstood your intent, and I accept your explanation.
@@M._Lou It wasn't meant to be a positive or negative trait. I'm not here to kiss Joe's feet. Joe's simply not at Daryl's level and watching the two of them makes it very clear (to me anyway). I'm sure Joe would admit that himself. It's all relative. So what's interesting here is that unlike Joe and Daryl, we don't know you at all and yet you felt that the world needs to know that you disagree. Well good for you, pat yourself on the back. You've been validated.
Hall seems a lot more downbeat than he appears otherwise. The stuff about the business side was just depressing. Even though the business side is depressing, this was extra.
