I too have a 12 year old daughter. My heart was broken in pieces when I read about this story. The devil is walking this earth destroying any goodness and innocense in his path. Lord please help this family and all of the families hurting over this tragedy.

It's just a shame that no 'creator' can watch over us in the real world or in reality, it really does confuse me that so many think 'someone' is watching over us 'after' we are attacked or killed, murdered or whatever. I am an atheist, even though I was raised to believe in a 'god', I don't. If no one can protect me/us beforehand then there is definitely no one there after death, to me when we are dead, that is the end, there is no afterlife. As a mom, this breaks my heart. Parents, teach your children that they are not invincible. That there are bad people out there who want to hurt them. And that they need to be careful whenever they leave your house.
