Its true. If women wouldnt settle for less and realize its a good thing and okay to have high standards and expectations from men, the men would wake up and step up their game. I used to date men with great careers but I took up with old gfs that have low standards and allowed it to ruin my life. So dump the low standards gfs and the haters even if its family. Thank you for answering the question regarding the mother taking over her adult daughter life. I wish you would do a video on it because it's a problem for alot of us out here. I honestly believe that one of the reasons that I'm 37 and single is because of my mom. She didn't encourage me to prepare for a man, although she herself had been married twice and had a long term relationship with my biological father. She was married to my stepfather, a wonderful man who took care of everything, until his death. Now, I am financially responsible for her, which is ok but I can barely afford to care for me. It's like I've replaced my dad as emotional and financial support, which I'm not happy about. My older sister is married with plenty of money but I get all of this responsibility laid on me. It's a burden. It's hindered me from developing a romantic relationship with a man because my mom gets jealous or starts talking negative to discourage me. Furthermore, it's difficult to explain why I live with her. I pay all the bills and mortgage, yet can't even redecorate the home. Seriously, it's crazy. I have no privacy and I feel like a child.

This situation is so common. You need to remove yourself ASAP and tell your sister to pick up the slack. She isn't struggling with this situation because she decided to take care of herself first. You should certainly love and honor your mother, but you're a single adult- you should put yourself first so that you can get what you want. Get fit, get dolled up and date older men. You can catch a handsome and successful man in his 50s. Hell, if you're looking for a Black man they still look amazing in their 50s (I'm really just realizing this myself so I've adjusted the age range I'm ok with). Keep the faith. My father and mother make excuses for my husband putting his hands on me and act like it doesn‘t even happen. He tackles me, has dislocated my knee, sprained my knee and shoulder, ripped my shirts i was wearing, ripped table tops off and thrown at me.... i am sick and need his insurance so i am stuck and no one seems to believe me and i don‘t know why my family thinks so poorly of me since i did all their laundry and cleaned their kitchen growing up plus watched my brother as a kid. Luckily he works out of town.

Well duh. Unless you're agreeing with me, that basically what I said. Some people are simply not the best people to ask certain questions. Would you ask a police officer about color theory? if you have basic logic, you probably would be better off asking a stylist. It's clear that some people look up to her so much that they will ask her questions that don't have anything to do with the topic at hand and when she gives them the wrong answer's they will follow it blindly.

This is my reply to the Holy ghost from another post. They are thinking coffee dates are ok. I had posted that it's cheap and disrespectful. TheHolyGhost I understand what you are saying but try to look at it this way. That attitude is a throwback to dowry days trumped up and promoted by patriarchy and misogyny. It's blatant disrespect for a woman to meet for merely coffee. It's about all of us improving and stepping up. It's about respect and honouring the masculine and feminine. Less than a century ago in western culture women were not allowed to vote. For many centuries women were stripped of any rights to own property. If women resisted they were burnt alive at the stake and called witches. Less than fifty years ago, it was still legal to beat women and children and the men that did that were never charged let alone prosecuted. When women are giving, they are disrespected by 85% of the males. To this day we as women are still being raped, beaten, harassed and stolen from and otherwise exploited. One might think that rapists and bullies would be prosecuted but this very often does not happen within the legal system. Also I firmly believe it is not healthy to raise children with some guy that sells drugs for a living or gets tanked frequently. It's true that most men that are helped, supported or do fifty fifty with a woman eventually leave her. As for me, I am an older glamorous, educated, kind, intelligent, artistic and fun loving woman. I am also a mother. I believe we can always learn and improve throughout our lives. We can expand our consciousness, read, take courses and improve our lives and the lives of those around us. It's good to get an education. It is admirable when a man can be a good, kind and benevolent provider. It's not about women and men truly honouring each other for our differences and similarities. I would never want my daughter to have to slave away and be disrespected by a man or woman with low standards. It's ultimately more beneficial for men and women to uplift and uphold a woman. Why denigrate her. Why benefit yourself by denigrating a woman. Up what you can offer as a man.
