All about my recent expedition to Roman fields - and that marvellous discovery of a Roman ring! Answering a few of your questions including:
What's my honest opinion of the XP Deus II?
How long do I spend detecting each week?
Learnings about my settings from this week's EPIC FAIL settings test.
PLUS - a new permission - first view of a very interesting field coming your way and we'll talk about this NEW VIDEO tonight!
See you all later! Miss D.

The lead object may be a wool spinner.

Usually those spindle whorls have a hole in the middle as they’re a kind of weight.. Is that what you mean by wool spinner?

@@miss_detectorist hi, I’m just having a guess, your right to point out the hole in the whorl, it would be awfully heavy for a button though, even in a leather coat. I used to find all sorts with my "whites coinmaster" detector in the late 1970s…I do envy your new machines, mine used to weigh around 3 kg and ate batteries by the dozen. I was around at the very beginning of the detectorists as a young lad in Scotland. lol, I used to go round all the castles and ancient historic battle sights picking up stuff and never thought about it at all. I’m glad that modern metal detecting has become more responsible. Love your vids, thanks for replying.

@@richardlove4287 wow 3kg! That’s dedication! It’s not a bad guess given the wool making area. We’ll never know I suppose, the mystery continues!
