He wasn't taken to jail although he could have been at the officer's discretion, yet he still claimed to be racially profiled. Again, it bothers me when we play the race card because it makes it more difficult to fight against actual cases of discrimination.

As long as it still works, people would say literally anything. It is what it is. If it works even 5% of the time people will never stop trying it. People like this will do or say most anything to avoid taking responsibility for their own choices. It's sad but true and it really isn't about race at all. If old people got out of trouble by saying "I'm old" the result would be the exact same thing. The 'race card' has much more than a 5% success rate of making (white) people back off, so it's here to stay until the day comes where it *never* works.

It puts things into perspective. The officer understands that he is a working man that just had a bag of weed. If he were not to say that, the search would have been more thorough and the stop would’ve been more intense. When he said that the cops defense was lowered.

I hate the fact that it's 2017 with 29 states legalized marijuana 21 states for medical use and 8 states recreational use. And still people getting tickets for weed and they have to go to court and risk their future. might be a little off but from my understanding prior to the legalization in Colorado 42 % in of all single vehicle accidents where the driver was at fault (in Colorado) the driver had drugs in his/her system. After the legalization 82% had drugs in their system.

This cops is thorough. Every one of these videos I’ve seen him in he does the taillight touch when pulling someone over. This is for a couple reasons. One being to leave his prints in case the driver flees. It’s proof he made contact. This has been largely abandoned over the years with the introduction of dash cams as well as it compromising officer safety due to giving away clear position. Renzo Santiago they check for any movement in the trunk, and also if he fled and they tracked him down, the officer's prints would still be on the car and they would have the right car

Y'all are complaining about a $600 ticket, here in Texas you go to jail. Have to serve probation and pay probation fees/court fees. He got off lucky, and no I'm Mexican, didn't play the race card when it happened. Just took responsibility
