ABOUT ME:
Helping people understand the Autism Spectrum from an adult with Autism.
Hey from the Aspie World and a big welcome into my channel! I am a Dan from the UK and I have Aspergers Syndrome or ASD which is a form of Autism, often referred to as High Functioning Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder. I make videos every week on autism in adults and my journey / offer tips and help for everyone who is living with autism or learning about autism in children.
I also have help videos for helping people get a diagnosis of Autism or Aspergers Syndrome from the autism test, and also some advise and help for anyone who is friends, partners or loved ones who suffer from Autism or Aspergers Syndrome and may show autism symptoms.

@Wilmer Cruz who wrote that, 'trying to get diagnosis but dont know how to stop camoflauging in front of therapist.' I feel you, although I didn't camouflage 100% in front of her, but still, when I don't have a meltdown at the moment and I don't feel really bad, I always think that my problems are not worth to be mentioned and that I'm okay. It's like when I go to the dentist, suddenly I don't feel any pain. But the problem is still there.

Have you ever read Alis Rowes book "Aspergers and me"? Great account of growing up with undiagnosed Aspergers as she was only diagnosed aged 23. If you've not read it, you should.

I tried to message wouldn’t work. How do I tell my kid ( who is child psychologist) she can’t treat her own child . He has Aspergers and Autism . High functioning. Very smart. He thinks he is smarter than any adult. He has started lying and stealing. Even when he is caught . He denies! He will start water works! He is also so negative. He is never happy. He does have 8 siblings 5 that live with him. He hates all of them. Going anywhere with him becomes not fun because he literally cry’s the whole time. I think he needs someone other than mom to talk too. He doesn’t get along well with stepdad. Real dad is around 2 weeks out of a year. I’m grandma. Just trying to do what’s best for my “ little man”

Hi there! I'm looking for some advice from pple who know stuff about aspergers and the lack of understanding about it by neurotypicals. My friend has a child (6 yrs old) and I have been noticing now (for a few years) that her child probably has aspergers. After doing research and watching all these vids at aspie world I am convinced the child has aspergers, the thing is the parents are oblivious and I've tried to gently ask about their perception of their child and have always found no understanding about the issue. What worries me is that the child seems very anxious and not understood and doesn't get any help because the parents just don't see his struggle. These videos by aspie world have helped me know what is going on with this boy, who interacts with my daughter and I have used this information to facilitate interactions with the boy, it has worked and we have had nice times together. The parents though don't get it. They keep thinking that he will get over his social anxiety and his "quirks" next year or with time. Is there anything I can do (as a friend to the parents) to help the situation without getting in trouble and losing a friendship? I have a feeling they would take my perception as a criticism of their son. Anyway, hope someone comments on this! Thanks

Aw, gosh, thanks for the heart. I remember when I first heard a radio program about some folks who wrote a book on adult ADHD. I remarked to my wife that it was as if the authors had been following me around all my life making notes for a book they wanted to write. I went to a Masters of Education who worked under an MD to get tested. Four hours of tests and interviews, including 30 minutes of interview with my wife. BTW, she was a Clinical Psychotherapist in private practice. She sent me a link to one of your videos. I think you and I are playing on the same team.
