7:17 you should use wire ferrules for flexible wires. In Germany you even HAVE to use them. I also think when working on electricity you should know what color correspond to what connector without testing for continuity.

Is there a reason you switched neutral and phase wires? Check at 8:00 In my opinion the leads should be secured by a core end sleve to be durable

Thanks for watching Otto and for your opinion sir.. After testing out other IEC cable connections from QSC, ADJ and some other brands I use, the way I connected and tested the cable in the video matched exactly from Edison end to IEC end. As for durability, this works great for me because it is intended to be more of a permenent plugged in position.

@@gfire_productions your neutral and hot leads are backwards.

Hello Otto Bear and thanks for watching. That is really a good question and I think I know where you're coming from so I will try to explain why I hooked this cable up in the way that I did in the video. If I were building a standard extension cord with a male to female Edison plug then I would've hooked the white wire to the silver screw the black wire to the gold screw and the green wire to the green screw. However, because I was building an IEC to Edison cable the white and the black leads needed to be switched. For this I connected the black wire to the silver screw, the white wire to the gold screw and the green wire to the green screw. The way I tested the connections in my video was verified with the same test of different IEC cables from; a QSC speaker IEC cable Chauvet freedom par hex 4 IEC cable, The original Behringer X 32 IEC cable. They all three have a continuity check per each lead, just like I did with the one that I built in the video. I hope this answers your question and it's not too confusing. Thanks again for your support Otto.

@@doughammel3256 thank you for watching and your input about the connections. After testing out other IEC to Edison cable connections from a QSC speaker, an ADJ par light and some other equipment I use, the way I connected and tested the cable in the video matched exactly from Edison end to IEC end of all the other cables. How ever to test another theory, the neutral and hot leads are hooked up different or as you might suggest on a standard Edison female to Edison male extension cord.

Hey bro, question can I use AES50 to USB to Mac without using an x32 or controller?

@@Romer0franklinNo. S/Dl16 and S/DL32 aren’t standalone units. You’d have to use a mixer with them. I’d suggest the Behringer XR18 or the Midas counterpart, the MR18. They’re small digital mixers with a USB B port to connect to and use as an audio interface! Hope this helps

@@Romer0franklin after some research the answer is no the stage boxes can't be used as a standalone interface.Tthat USB port on the back of the stage boxes or for firmware updates. The Behringer XR18 however can be used as a standalone interface. amzn.to/3GQJzAP or maybe you want to consider an analog option with the Yamaha MG16 series mixers: amzn.to/3TyLiSU
