A subscriber reached out recently and asked for some help getting their live stream adjusted. He was happy with the room mix in their house, but wanted to rebuild the live stream side of the mix. They run a Post Fader MixBUS so it is critical that the house mix be in a good place as we start this process. He was able to record some multitracks and sent over the tracks and a copy of his scene. Come along for the ride as we take a listen to where their stream started and how we changed it with a number of small adjustments.

Thank you Dave you have guided us from the time we started moving from analogy to digital. I had some crazy ideas but you guided me we were very happy with our sound FOH and now with the stream. Super excited that you chose to do this tutorial. Guys if you need consultation Dave is your guy.

Panning, use the “follow LR Panning” option for the bus sends. The pan knobs on the keys were set right and if that option were used, would match the main pan knob. Makes visualizing easier and faster when mixing. Bummer you don’t have a screen camera on with details shown. Lots of good details in the numbers.

Yes, I agree that the "follow LR" is a great option, but I also wanted to utilize the BUS only panning since this video is an educational device for their team. Originally I was going to make this video using X32 Edit but decided on the camera route since this group mostly uses the console. Maybe in the future I can setup another camera to grab the fine details.
