I can’t get over her expecting people to bel her story and how do we know she didn’t force him to get in the suitcase by using the bat on him until he obliges, scared for his life seeing that a bat would definitely K someone? I really dislike those autopsy experts who are so technical they won’t even dare apply common sense to any of their testimony. She was not much help to the state or the defense because she was not willing to stand on anything a laymen could figure out without any education in the field, or training.
What an excellent judge.....he is being totally professional....not letting there be any chance for appeal...checking and re-checking everything that is said or presented.....exactly who is needed in this trial....
Drunk, half drunk, not drunk. What matters is that she took the life out of this man. Removed him from the planet and has shown no remorse. Unforgivable!
Not just took the life out of him, she tortured him as he slowly suffocated to death begging for his life. That is so disturbing that she needs to be locked away forever.
@Romulan2469 agreed, she isn't fit for the world we live in. If she is capable of torturing a man to his death then she is capable of any thing. she isn't fit for rehabilitation ever. I hope she never gets out.
I think she would’ve faced at least manslaughter charges, if not for her recording these videos. I don’t believe she would’ve walked away free of charges.
She ain't getting off shes going to get convicted. Sad part is that she's getting charged with 2nd degree murder instead of 1st degree an not getting the Death penalty 😢
@@rasberryfields2132As someone who does NOT work in mental health haha, I'm guessing her narcissism prevented her from accepting a plea deal (and/or any amount of guilt). It would have had her out and about in 4-5 years I believe it was?! 🤯
@@justjoy1518She was offered 15 years for m@nsl@ught€r and she has already done like 4.5 years. I believe she would have been out in somewhere around 4-6 years...
This has been nothing more than a very minor inconvenience, as far as the whole “ah, someone died, just happened to be the guy dating my son’s mother”… 🤷♂️
She's on the witness stand now and still not one tear whatsoever but a bag of excuses at the ready and a portfolio of photos of her as a "battered woman" claiming this was domestic violence. As usual with narcissists, she blames the victim for his murder. She needs to be locked up for life!
Everytime I hear Sarah’s name said in the courtroom, I automatically hear Jorge in the suitcase repeating her name. It’s a case that stays with you. It is indeed heartbreaking.
@@BSmeterAussiechickI was legit SHOCKED when I seen her turn down the Plea Bargain they offered. She would plead to Involuntary manslaughter & everything else is dropped. She would get 15yrs (She already did almost 5, So she would only do 4.5yrs & get parole)....... Imagine in your cell after the trial when you hit the 4.5yr mark knowing you would be getting parole but instead your doing LIFE ......... BRUCE RIVERS BROKE IT ALL DOWN SO THATS WHY I KNOW SHE WOULD ONLY DO 4.5 BEFORE PAROLE
@@shundiin8 One of many lines from her that has turned this case from “You remember that girl that locked her dude in the suitcase 30 years ago?”, into being a full-blown necessary case study for all future attorneys, judges, etc., and a shining beacon for every red flag ever shown by a person. She did herself ZERO favors in the almost FIVE years she’s had to get it together, and figure out SOME kind of damage control.
@@yerneedsry they’re allowed to do that, and she’s allowed to say no. Not their fault she’s not that bright. My favorite was when she was talking about “so when I leave here..” and both investigators were just silent lmao
So according to Owens, Torres could have been having a heart attack and Sarah didn’t let him out of the suitcase as he begged for his life? Got it. That makes it worse!
I agree. He did more harm than help. The injuries and description of Jorge’s cause of death were so much more graphic & horrifying than during direct examination.
She should have taken that plea deal. I have never seen anyone turn down a plea deal for murder that would have seen her only serve 5 to 6 years of what they offered her. Crazy.
I didn't know that! I would say she's probably kicking herself now, but I think she's convinced she's innocent. I also didn't know she hit him with a bat while he was in suitcase. Like wtf?
@StrideWarrior the key word here is "crazy" which is exactly what she is. Not in any legal term but in every layman's usage for damn sure. I hope she rots for what she did...
This is going to be EPIC - the lack of situational awareness of Darrell Brooks, the arrogance and delusion of Robert Telles, and the just plain craziness of Jodie Arias. Plus a huge dose of the inability to take responsibility for anything.
@@angelarock5272. Curious, did she know that Sarah recorded two separate sessions of her going back and forth ,not responding to his saying Sarah,I can’t breathe ! Does she know about the tapes?
Yeah, you didn’t “intentionally” kill him- you just intentionally trapped him in a suitcase, shoved it down the stairs. hit him with a bat when he tried to get out, taunted him, and then walked away while he was clearly struggling to breathe and begging for his life. 👀 Who the fuzk does that. 🤨 And I love her face at the end. She knew that looked really bad for her, and it did. As it should. During the second interview, she said this changed HER life forever. No thought for Jorge, whose life was ended.
Sarah’s getting a crash course in what people who actually excel at life sound like after hearing all these articulate experts politely destroy her case 😂
...and Brian was still paying her alimony so he was footing all of her expenses. He was basically supporting her financially even though they'd they'd been divorced for several years 🤯
MAN she really talks about Jorge like he's a child that she needs to manage with tasks and puzzles and games, who couldn't really function without the patient guidance and assistance of Sarah 🧚🏼♀️🙄
@@rasberryfields2132I know! It's actually embarrassing listening to how she sits there and paints herself as a saint while tearing him down. The man she supposedly loved. Who passed the day prior, at her hands... intentionally or otherwise. It's just mindblowing how cold she is. Even swearing on her child!! 🤢😞
I’ve been following this case. This is her 9th or 10th lawyer including several times she represented her self! This guy jumped in at the very last second. And she still turned down the plea! It’s wild.
@MrMauiWaui2 Yes, unbelievable! She would have gotten credit for time served, so she only had to serve about 5-7 more years! The judge tried to tell her!
I cannot even imagine what this must be like for her son and his children! What a horrible selfish evil person she is!

IF her son is willing to, he SHOULD NOT EVER SEE HER AGAIN. He's still a minor, but, if I were him, I would emphatically say I DO NOT want to see her, EVER AGAIN. He has that right.
Omg Owens implying Jorge was too drunk to move to get out of the suitcase (but it was self defense because he was going to then magically get out and attack her?) and Owens being like well you don’t REALLLY know how much air was in the suitcase! BLESS the pathologist for putting up with this bullsh!t and being completely unrattled
I have been thinking of this a lot. Maybe it was his turn to hide, and he chose to hide in the suitcase...but when she found him, she zipped it up. The saddest thing is that maybe he really thought it was a game, and he thought he found the perfect hiding place. Otherwise I don't know anyone who would intentionally put themselves into a suit case, just for shits and giggles.
@@carmendutoit1373I read she put her son in a suitcase awhile back. For either punishment or as a joke. Can’t remember which. Of course I read it on the internet, so. 🤷♀️
@Inbetweenthelinesnow but why would a grown man just get into a suitcase? I think she saw her opportunity and killed him.... I really hope that the defense puts her in a suitcase to try prove he could have gotten out. She will be screaming in under 5 minutes....
When she says she'll never drink alcohol again, even in that moment she just doesn't realize that she is going to to prison and won't have to worry about alcohol ever again anyway..
Don't they find ways to drink in prison?🤔 Yes she didn't think she was getting arrested until they handcuffed her. She thought making that promise would get her released.🫢
Look, everything she did, she did for Jorge. That’s the only reason she’s in court… for him. Still here, today, living and fighting, for him. So just chill, yo. Get off her back.
Nope in fact she said and I quote “We were getting along great, like we always do” she’s a sick twisted sadistic person!!! She has not shown one bit of remorse! I can’t wait to hear the verdict of guilty!!!
If I had been chosen for this jury, I would have had to tell them I couldn't be impartial as much as I would have loved to sit in on this trial. All the exposure of this case would completely keep me from being able to judge this case fairly. I hope everyone on this jury was honest.
This might still come but,I'm surprised that no one has pointed out that that's not how you play hide and seek! If she zips him in the case, she knows where he is!
Or a lawyer who really believes in the right of everyone to be represented at trial. He agreed to put on the defense she wanted, making it that much less likely that the verdict is reversed on appeal. People who think she's guilty should be thanking him.
@@GrodonThePungentthis judge is making damn sure he's wrapping up everything nice and tight, to where if there is ever an appeal, she will never win! She might get an appeal on ineffective counsel but that will be about all she will get!😉
No she aint, she's going to end up getting negligent homicide... probably 7 years... she'll be out in 3 ... she's only guilty of not saving a mans life
she sits there cool as a cucumber, listening to all that went down and what happened and not a show of remorse, sadness, upset....nothing, its like she,s listening to a story of someone elses life.......she,s creepy.....
I think she becomes a nasty person even more so when she's drinking then she is normally. I think she conned him into the suitcase, and then once he was vulnerable she began to rage on him and she wanted control and she got it. So much control that she took his life and now she just wants to just expect that the government is going to say "oh it's okay you didn't mean to". As if they're just going to be like okay Sarah just don't do it again
I think we are going to hear testimony that her neighbors heard something loud go down the staircase that night-like a suitcase. There was definitely some raging going on that she “forgot “
Sarah’s “Attorney” seems VERY Argumentative with the States Witnesses! Not sure that’s gonna help Her case with the Jury! Be interesting to see how he treats their Witnesses!
I don’t understand the strategy of the cross examination of the forensic doctor. It seemed like Owens drew more attention to how horrific Jorge’s injuries and death were. Definitely not helpful to Sarah’s defense. Will make the jury predisposed to dislike her. After viewing the suitcase videos and interrogation videos, that dislike will blossom into horror.
He doesn't really have much to work with. The only real angle he had was trying to convince the jury that the doctor didn't do enough testing to determine he actually didn't have enough air and that the COD was a heart problem rather than what it actually was.
Did she or did she not kick the suitcase down the stairs after beating him with a bat? Both neighbors heard a huge *Thump* from her stairs that shook their walls exactly after the time of her video.
I'm starting to believe she doesn't understand what intentionally means and yes I'm being sarcastic. I feel sorry for her son and ex husband and especially jorge for ever having to deal with a narcissistic monster who is more worried about herself than anyone else. She had 100% malicious intent and no remorse about anything at all.
Then you would have Sarah knocking at your door all the time. The. Those two would have had their drama literally in your home. Your heart is in the right place. He was so under her thumb he wouldn’t have done it anyway. His family tried many time to get him to leave her. He was such a lost soul and so lonely when he met her, she took full advantage of that. Plus he was already an alcoholic (they met in a bar no less). He met the wrong woman, do so sad.
I could see Sarah having some last minute second thoughts on her lawyers closer to the end on this trial, once she realizes she's cooked in this trial.. if she gets out of her delusion that is..
49:30 Right.. I was thinking the same thing the second time I hear the judge asked is she was satisfied with her representation etc…The narrative she repeats in her head is so disturbing with distorted and delusional narcissistic thoughts… she may not ever get there…then…it will be too late… 🤦♂️
Listening to her interview, it's no surprise that she went through so many attorneys. From her interview and her videos, it's pretty clear that she didn't care if he lived or died. Otherwise, there would be no reason to not let him out of the suit case the minute he said he couldn't breathe. Instead, she belittled & yelled at him then left the scene knowing full well that he couldn't get out of the suit case by himself.
SB is a liar and control freak...she hit him with the bat...and left him in the suitcase on purpose...her stories ate pathetic and has had no remorse for him or his family. She's done and should get life...just my opinion
The fact the she uses the word intention, over and over is bothersome. Clearly, she was aware, drunken stupor or not, she knew.. In her brain, at the time, she knew what was happening.
I can't wait until she hears that guilty verdict. Maybe then it will remove that smirk from her face. She has no remorse for taking Jorge's life at all. She makes me sick. RIP Jorge
Whether it was intentional or not, it was reckless and would represent manslaughter or similar. There is no way she will get out of this situation with a better result than what was offered by the State.
I think its my favorite police trick. "Tell us your story." *suspect tells story* "Okay. Heres the proof we have showing that was BS. Wanna try again?" Just like with Chris Hansen busting out the transcripts on TCAP.
I say eye for an eye. Instead of life in prison, she should have to suffer the same fate Jorge did. Let her feel what he felt. Her smiling during the trial really irritates me!!!
