This whole album is amazing. Nobody seems to recognize it, all the focus is on Throwing Copper, but while Samadhi is definitely darker, it is just as good as Throwing Copper. Live were more than a one album band.
Not a band I ever hear spoken about for some reason, like ever. Much more obscure bands get talked about pretty often, but nobody brings them up, which is odd since they stuck around for a really long time and had more than a few hits.
@@christofyre LIVE was my favorite band growing up. I think the first 4 albums were each a self-contained masterpiece with a different vibe but with the same underlying band's sound.
@@jamesstaggs4160 Indeed. I listen to the satellite radio 90s and 90s rock channels and they rarely play LIVE. And every song they do is from Throwing Copper. I remember how huge these guys were. It's really strange how we look back on their heyday now.
It's upsetting how this incredible video has hardly any views. It's too overlooked. But at least there are a few people who realize its greatness. 3:02 is my favorite shot.
I literally got emotional and started crying while listening to this in my work truck today. Everything just hit me at once and I guess this song helped release whatever needed to come out. As a disclaimer, I'm not an ordinarily emotional person
Because of this video, I was turned onto the work of John Register. It helped focus and redefine my own photographic work. I am so very happy that a song I love introduced me to a great artist who inspires me.
Man, this is the first time in many years that I have heard this song... So many memories since 1997... The past loves, the failed loves, all of the unrequited loves.... Even recently this year.... Everything is hitting me hard right now... I guess you can say that... I can feel it coming back again.... 😕
Live is such a great but underestimated band. Throwing Copper was a masterpiece and we had to try and do one song from it. Hope you will enjoy our take on it : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bez5pTdoRaA.html
I remember seeing this music video on MTV during its original run. Heck, I think that I probably have it recorded on an old vhs tape somewhere. I remember seeing the visuals and hearing the song and feeling inexplicable feelings of loneliness and longing, but, like, in a good way... it's hard to describe. Anyhow, beautiful song, and beautiful video.
Today's bands can't touch any of those from the 90's to mid 2000's, up until about 2007, let alone Live. This album came out the year I graduated from high school and it still resonates today like it did then.
I´m know and love this sing since the 90´s and I had never seen this version before.Very, very impressive. Quite simple and at same time...quite amazing...seems even paintings that move. I loved it!
Boredom & excruciating solitude..ahhhhh, life on the road (that's my interpretation of this version). I saw these guys at the Murat Temple in Indy (Don't remember the year...early 2000's?). A small venue, close..intimate...like a warm shower on a cold day!. Ed had bronchitis, but he barreled through the set like the professional that he is. I felt bad for him, coughing up phlegm during and between songs, but that beautiful voice still shined through. A truly wonderful concert!
There is no band like live. There is no band that touches the depths of my soul like live. I love this band to the ends of all time. Got me thru lots of hard times❤️❤️❤️🤘👍👊
Absolutely. I was fortunate enough to win tickets to a limited seating acoustic set with Ed and i got to meet him and tel him how much this song meant to me. 😎👍
at one time or another I've caught myself doing the things the guys are doing when I'm alone and bored somewhere that's why I always liked this version best
Anyone, caught in your mystery Keep it angry Keep it whispy I've fallen down Drunk on your juices Turn my head Turn my head It's aimed at you Funky temple Your dress is torn to shreds Your eyes are crazy I bowed to save my head and I can't forget you But I can't remember Oh no Turn my head Turn my head It's aimed at you Baby, baby We came to love you all day These bastards are leavin' Somebody's got to stay Whatever we called you It's just a name Just a name
Waiting rooms are the variety that we as a society do some of our best thinking about the past, present, and future. Caught between what might've been, what is, and what might be.
can you pls explain how this piece of art has only 54000 views?? Ed K visited Lima Peru last week and this was the most requested song, long life LIVE and the 90's!!
