True we had a fatal accident here w a few survivors. The driver - when someone stopped to help. We don't need help we are okay. Heck no. One person was thrown out of the car into a tree. Terrible. This guy was trying to avoid dui charges a d arrest he didn't even care about the dead or the injured ones who would have died ao first responders. The driver is now in jail after. Released from hospital 2 charges murder abd much.more he will spend much time in prison. He needs to.

I agree, reporters are basically useless, we can replace them with robots. But every bit of information is needed and relevant when piecing things together in an investigation.

Immigration status could be a factor. If the people killed or injured were here illegally, then they were involved in an accident that never should have involved those individuals. But the sheriff, like so many others, doesn't want to take sides on this hot button issue.

I agree. I live in Maine and worked for a store that had Western Union. Every Friday, we would have many migrant workers, who picked apples at our local orchards. They were some of the nicest people, they were polite.They lined up so they were right in front of the Western Union machine. They stayed in the line, no pushing no shoving, and when they came up to the counter, they had the paperwork completely filled out. Everything was ready so the process was very quick. I miss the workers. I'd rather take care of a long line of the workers than one Karen.

While I'm against illegals coming in the US illegally...at a time such as this, that becomes a moot point...there are the dead and injured to care for, not care about a status such as their legality! 100% correct on the idea that they are taking jobs from Americans..that's a freaking JOKE ..I don't know of many American men or women of their ages that would get out into a hot, humid, muddy, mosquito infested field to do the back breaking work they are doing so we have food delivered to the grocery store. I KNOW what that work is like, I grew up working the farm life...but I got to return to my nice home at the end of the day..

Migrant workers usually have special work visas and travel all over the country doing the work that Americans refuse to do. The reason you have veg.And fruit in our grocery stores. They do the back breaking work we refuse to do. They care for the affluent's children, clean homes, work fast food. They have opened restaurants and try to become upstanding citizens. These people work hard. All they want is a chance for a better life. Isn't that what we all want? Just a chance? This is a tragic moment in these people's lives.

To be honest it used to be done by local teens in the US and I remember losing our jobs to the adult Mexicans. I bought my first really nice sewing machine after a summer of broccoli picking with my friends, age 14. And yes, I'm white.
