is song was co written with Mike Einziger founder of Incubus. they met at Pointfest Festival last year in St Louis and became friends. last night in Japan BAND-MAID were special guests of Incubus and Mike Einziger performed the song Bestie with the Maids for a world live premiere during their opening act. The Maids have a new album dropping in the summer. I think we will get the date of the release on May 10 when they do the annual Day Of Maid event where they put on a special show and usually make future announcements. also I expect a collab with The Warning as they are doing a special show with BAND-MAID on June 12 in Japan during the Warning Japan tour. cheers

The video is both beautiful and angelic. If this is what heaven looks and sounds like, I'm going to have to clean up my act. Kanami's frills look like angels wings and her guitar riff takes me soaring into the heavens.

No problem with the video not coming through; we’ve all seen it. Yes, it’s incredibly visually pleasing!! And our Maids became wispy Angels!! 👼 😂. They occasionally forego the Maid “battle armor” when doing something lighter than their typical frenzied hard rock. Showing their more vulnerable side, I suppose. A great collaboration with Mike Eizinger of Incubus! He joined them onstage tonight (Tokyo time - morning in US) to perform the song with them. Thank you for sharing time with the Maids again 😂 Bad songs? Of course. But it’s due to the fact that Band Maid has the musical ability to create such a wide variety of music that one person can’t possibly like everything they do. The flip side is that the Maids have at least one song that will appeal to everyone. I would put this one clearly in that category. For a blues rock guy, “Bestie” is a bit outside my tastes. I’m a “Moratorium” and “Blooming” kind of Maidiac.
Thanks for checking out more from the Maids. Hope it's nothing serious with your health. I don't think it's a bad song, but I think The Dragon Cries is a poor fit for them. They generally have a very positive energy, and message in their lyrics. Like, don't let anybody tell you you can't achieve your dreams kind of stuff, and that song feels like a downer and kind of defeatist. But, just generally speaking, they have a high personal standard for their music. They say they've written bad songs, but they don't release them. Their work ethic really shows in the replay value of their songs, where you listen again and pick up on things that you missed on previous listens. For me, I feel like I have to give a song at least 6 listens to do it justice, like once focused on each member, and all together. There are some songs that I'm not into at first, but eventually, I end up thinking they were right, and I was wrong.
