11.09.1999 | Prem United won this pulsating match, thanks to an Andy Cole header (Cole was sent off in the second half, after lashing out at Rigobert Song), sandwiched by two Jamie Carragher own goals.
I swear Beckham was a cheat code , i've never Seen a player cross a ball with laser precision every.single.Time. the best crosser ever and one of the best passers of all time .
He's still incredibly underrated. He was a solid 8 out of 10 minimum every game, even in his worst performances he gave everything and work so hard for his team mates.
@@jamesburke2094 I haven’t even seen your comments I don’t read any comments I just leave them. But yeah it’s weird that we’ve put similar comments I’ll read yours later or something.
@@David_Mc_Our_God_Reigns I've written them across social media The quality of football really took a huge dive around that time As Keane said, the ability to pass and move is key , and some professional players cannot, and he rightly goes on about how shockingly bad that is given them being pro. 1 way to be able to identify drops in quality is the number of scored direct free kicks. I gave this some thought, and I think that principle is true, and secondly there are few around scoring fks frequently, in contrast to many years ago... Not that scored direct fks is something I look for in football....
Jaap Stam was the rock in that team that held it together defensively allowing them to attack like that. In 2001-02 you seen how much they missed him when he left for Lazio. Ferguson’s biggest mistake
Jaap was incredible, but he lost a little pace after his injury. It worked out for the best since they got Ferdinand the following season. The mistake was probably getting in a slow and old Laurent Blanc to replace him.
If he was sold on form it would have been acceptable, but he was sold for what he wrote in a bloody book. Ferguson's biggest mistake, along with selling Van Nistelrooy.
Carragher: 508 league games for Liverpool and scored 3 goals Carragher: 1 league game against Man.Utd and scores 2 goals.Utd should have snapped him up ;-)
This video bring us good old nostalgia about how good Premier League in end of 1990's and early 2000's. Time flies but I'm still support Man United until today :)
@@erlanggaprasetyo1606at least you watched MU last match 😂 carragher have a great relationship with liver management that is why he can play for a long time eventhough he was a lousy defender ever 🤣
@@erlanggaprasetyo1606 bro it's not carragher who win it. It is luis garcia, xabi alonso, smicer, wtf carra did when milan scored three goal at the first half? 🤭 even liver penalty was not a penalty. Look at the replay, gattuso's foot are not touch gerard at all so it is a clearly diving. Lucky liver VAR are not yet exist but I'm glad gerard got his instant karma when slip against chelsea so he never win the premier league at his football career as a player 🤣
and people say beckham is overated. look at the long balls. so accurate. thats why fifa 2000 passes are accurate and fifa 2023 passes are not accurate anymore.
if anything, because of his good looks and personal life, fickle fans forget that Beckham was a world class player. Could play RM or CM, tracked back, worked hard for the team, great inter-play between team-mates, and the best crosser of the ball (could spray vertical or diagonal long balls).
And ManUtd scored from the resulting freekick so that was naive from Gerrard. But it looked like Beckham did to Gerrard following that foul the same thing as he did to DiegoSimeone in WC98 that got him sent off. But to be honest that Danish ref was a joke and shouldn't have given him a red. Also Carragher always escaped worse offences in this fixture and Everton fans think he did vs them also.
The rivalry is still more than there with the fans, but I miss the days when the players and managers had an axe to grind with each other. That era between 1998-2013 saw a lot of good and fierce rivalries between premier league clubs. Though Arsenal v Man Utd was the best, this fixture was often nasty, as was Arsenal V Chelsea and Liverpool V Chelsea. Last good one we saw was Spurs v Chelsea for a couple of years, a few years ago.
Sad to see what united were then and what they are now. As for Liverpool , Gerard was the most overrated brat in the team. Jealousy just ate him up like a little brat.
As my Mum would say, if you're going to do something - do it properly. Andy Cole's reacting to Song fits that definition. If you're going to be booked/sent off for reaction, doing it Cole's way helps!
Carra was a scouse scumbag fan from head to toe ,he’s got to live with those two cracking own goals for the rest of his life ,we should never ever let him forget.
it's sad that you have selective memory. Bet you werent even born when Macheda scored against Villa or Solskjaer scored against the scouse in the FA cup quarter finals.
A few of the usual players who either assisted/scored in this fixture for ManUtd from the previous few season's AndyCole & Carragher 😅 with Beckham again having big role.
A tremendous penalty not given to MU and another penalty not given to Liverpool.. Today is just 30000 tremendous penalties not given to oil city adversaries..
