Your choices seem to be Ederson, Rabiot, and Ugarte. Ugarte is a no-go. Szobozlai isn’t a box-to-box midfielder. You have Jones, Mac Allister, Endo. Trent isn’t a box-to-box player, he’s a snowflake, possibly protecting himself for a move to Spain. You’re not going to win the Champions League with 3 CMs in the rotation. Need 4.

Liverpool being Liverpool again letting arsenal get calafiori.. sick of this club. Arsenal have already overtaken us and here they are buying a player we desperately need when they don’t even really need him. You watch, the fan base will be saying the same shit we say every window come August. Going into another season short due to lack of ambition will see us drop further behind the top 2. Lovely.

The left hand side of defence seems to be the main target of strengthening this summer. An upgrade on Tsmiskas who'll most likely be moved on aswell as a replacement for Matip who's left footed both being rumoured to be improved upon. Aït-Nouri aswell as Hincapie, Hancko, Califori, Inacio & Pacho have all been linked so far this summer.

Chris is way off the mark with Rabiot. Mediocrity personified as a player and not better than Bajectic, Endo or possibly Moreton, whose chances he would block. Strange that he wanted to argue the point so vociferously with Chloe.

There’s only one reason and one reason only ME was brought back, to improve FSGs commercial revenue streams. And unfortunately LFC spending big on player acquisitions does not fit in with that. FSG are not going to be too bothered if all we did was qualify for the UCL the next 5yrs and have the odd decent cup run. The guy that was bothered has just left us after 9 amazing years. Get used to it, LFC are not going to be a trophy winning ambitious club for a while.

No Edwards is Director of Football, Sporting Director Richard Hughes reports direct to him. Arne Slot (formerly of Feyernoord) is LFC's new manager & has been since the end of the season

@@N9ndo - Thats not what Slot himself said in his first interview with the clubs website, stating he & Sporting Director Richard Hughes will be working collaboratively on transfers, as he was used to doing in The Netherlands with Feyernoord. I'm a match going fan sunshine & have been since 1977 so am well aware of the club's new business model. Many clubs operate this way- the manager/ coach has a say in transfers, but it'll be very Data driven. Its an approach that got us Salah, Mané, Alisson, Van Dijk, Klopp & Slot himself so I have no issue with it. That however wasn't the question asked, which was Edwards the manager, which he isn't

Rabiot is Rabiot. An athletic Central Midfielder in the prime of his career, albeit the end phase. Wanna make a push to win the champs league while still making a top 3 finish in the League, that means ya need depth in the midfield. Rabiot can run for days.
