This isn’t a hotel room this is a fitting room with a bed in it.

That doesn’t look safe in case of a fire.

I went there for 3 days, stayed there for 2 nights, chinatown location is great, this hotel is just a place to sleep some hours and shower, went to empire state building, central park, Brooklyn bridge, rode the subways all under $500

Honestly I think the hotel room should be like $10

The shared bathroom is an instant deal breaker for me. The tiny living space im fine with. But the shared bathroom? HELL NAH

As someone who has stayed in a ton of hostels, this actually isn’t that bad. A hostel bed is usually around $30 a night. This place is the same cost but you get your own room and don’t have to share with 3-5 other people.

I lived in Los Angeles in 1958 to 1960 at 416 S Spring Street, which was then the El Dorado Hotel, for $45 per month. $1.50 per day. It is now a loft building.with spaces for about $500 K. Charlie Chaplin once lived there. I lived in New York City in 1960 and 1961 for about $50 per month, YMCA.

Come on it's a $30 per night hotel in a city where a cheap "decent" hotel is $200+ most of the time. And I guess at least your have your own room so to speak, it's not like paying $30 and having to share a room with 6-8 other people (ie. a hostel).

I think it's wonderful for a short stay. You only go to your hotel to sleep, change clothes, or freshen up. Why waste money on a room that you're rarely using.

It can be done for real cheap. He’s not living there forever, just for a week while he travels. He’s really smart because he pockets the majority of his money. He’s the Smart One! He’s got a great attitude too! 😊😊😊💕

This is an awesome hotel. It gives you what you need: a bed to sleep on. It's like a public phone: serves only one purpose. If I was stranded in NY for 3 days, this hotel would provide me bed and shelter for less than $100 for the entire stay. That's just 8 hours per day. The rest of the hours can be spent outside, in restaurants, in a café, at the gym, in a library, in a museum, in a park or in a shopping mall. Everything you can do inside your home or hotel room, you can also do outside, except sleeping, cooking and f*cking.

Usually hostels do well, but honestly this is a good choice too. Honestly I'm a social butterfly so if only be there to sleep, why would i need a big room? Although it would be funny to bring a girl back there 😂

Honestly, if you're wanting to visit New York you're not going to want to stay inside. You'll want to be experiencing the city and just need a place to sleep and shower. $30 cannot be beat. I think it's amazing. Great video. :)

Here in Manila, Philippines for just only $10 you can accommodate a hotel room 10x bigger than the size of that room for whole day! Fully airconditioned, With TV, WiFi, Own Bathroom and Free Breakfast.

I saw another vlogger stay there and get bed bug bites after, so be careful man. $30 is too good to be true sometimes.

They should provide this for homeless people cause it's small but least they have a roof over them.

In Delhi India, you will get a decent size room with attached Lat/Bath, Free Wifi, T.V with digital cable connection and that too at around 15-20 USD.

I stayed here, it was clean and a great location but there is a mix of social outcasts (crackheads) staying/living there. And the ceilings in the room are chicken wire.

dude this literally brings back memories of the hostels in australia,same decor,same houses that look like they are 50 to 100 years old.......and the toilets in australia hostels are even worse......u are lucky to get that private room for $20.....in aussie we have to share a bunk bed with 7 other strangers for $27 a night and a private room like that would cost up to $50.

In Montana where I LIVE, i get a normal 0.3-0.6 mbps normaly with a wired ethernet connection. So, that's some pretty good wifi speeds I'd say in that room that costs twice as much as i pay for my internet a month

I’m a native NYer. No longer live there. I guess my overall reason is NYC is a shit hole. The Bowery? At least when I lived there it was horrifying. Maybe it gentrified? NYers are always claiming neighborhoods are gentrifying. This means they become slightly less horrifying. And of course you pay more. That’s mandatory when a neighborhood “gentrifies”. Also N.Y. is very old fashioned. A lot of NYers barely realize and have little interest that a country exists west of the Hudson River. Except for California. Which most of them dismiss as full of “nuts” This means that Californians have an open mind and will try new things. Which NYers are sorely against as they rewatch a black and white movie on WPIX. NY however does have the ways and means. (Read that as a lot of good paying jobs.) Which you will really need to pay for your overpriced dingy apartment in a “gentrifying” neighborhood.
