*#Ditto** hero.. USA's **#NativeREALAmerican** and honorable 'Sir' R Carlos Nakai **_RULES!_* ;]] Fellow discoverer (worshipper? ;]) of Nakai's dream worthy music. Was in one of the many quaint artist owned galleries in the famous little summer season tourist town, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, when the music playing empelled me to ask the proprietor who the performer of that #STRIKINGLYbeautiful native american flute music was. That was the first time I'd ever consciously registered this extraordinarily talented artist. Turned out the gallery carried several of his cassette tapes for sale; my fiance surprised me by buying one of every cassette they had in stock for me. I wore those cassette tapes out within just the first year of our marriage! (We were in Eureka Springs for our wedding in the garden of one of the century old Victorian homes there.) Been an avid Fan of Sir Nakai ever since; including his many duets with the renowned pianist, Peter Kater, and many more. *Most people do not realize **_just how musically active he has been.._* *Robert Carlos Nakai* *R. Carlos Nakai is a Grammy Award nominated Native American flautist of Navajo/Ute heritage, born April 16, 1946 in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA. Nakai is classically trained in both trumpet and music theory. He also holds a Master’s Degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona.* *Nakai received a traditional cedar wood flute as a gift and was challenged to see what he could do with it. He released his first solo album in 1983 and has since **_RECORDED ROUGHLY 50 ALBUMS AND RECEIVED NINE GRAMMY NOMINATIONS,_** the most recent for his 2010 release "Dancing Into Silence". Two of his albums, "Canyon Trilogy" and "Earth Spirit" are certified gold records in the United States. (< And they were so great **_I had to wear out multiple cassettes_** of them listening to them so frequently! Loved his flute music as I worked long days in my SOHO.
