Curious to know what it's like living in Buckhead Atlanta? If you are into shopping, dining, nightlife, and all the fancy things, then Buckhead is the Atlanta neighborhood for you! Buckhead Atlanta is the affluent area of Atlanta, with Buckhead Atlanta mansions ranging anywhere in the $2MM up to a record breaking $18MM!
In this Buckhead Atlanta VLOG tour, I'm going to show you all the hot spots of the Buckhead neighborhood including Buckhead Village (the Beverly Hills of Atlanta), Lenox Mall & Phipps Plaza, I'll show you one of my favorite Buckhead boutique shops, walking trails in Buckhead (Path 400), the Atlanta Beltline that hits southern Buckhead, and I'll show you some Buckhead Atlanta homes in some of my favorite areas including Chastain Park, Memorial Park/Springlake, and the Peachtree Hills/Garden Hills areas. Plus we have to take a quick drive to see what the neighborhoods filled with Buckhead mansions looks like.
Living in Buckhead Atlanta isn't as cheap as other Atlanta neighborhoods. With a median sales price of just over $1MM, it certainly won't be for everyone. However, there are some condos and townhomes that range anywhere from $300K-$600K that still make living in the Buckhead Atlanta neighborhoods obtainable.

@@wandastokes9891 If you want to buy for investment purposes, there are so many great places to to buy for Airbnb purposes. College Park could be good as it's near the airport and you can get those folks who need short living arrangements while here for filming movies. (They like being near the airport for some reason - not sure if it has to do with being near the Tyler Perry Studios or just being able to hop on a plane quickly after work is done).

I don't believe COVID had anything to do with the uptick of violence! at Lennox Mall and Buckhead. It's from people who live in poor neighborhoods of ATL. That venture to the more affluent neighborhoods of ATL unfortunately, they bring their violence and animosity with them. However, great presentation Molly when I move to ATL I'll be sure to have you for my real-estate transaction I like your videos very informative.

Hey there! Thanks for watching. Buckhead always gets more attention due to it being an affluent area- but we certainly saw an uptick in crime happening there right when covid was happening and many cities were having riots from the Floyd case. It was a perfect storm - many people cooped up, angered, etc. It all just boiled over. But yes! Would love to chat more with you when you are ready to move to Atlanta!

There is a town in Morgan County, Georgia with the name of Buckhead. The county seat of Morgan County is Madison, Georgia. Madison is routinely ranked state wide and nationally as a perfect place to live. The politicians tried to get Buckhead to become a real city that wants to succeed from Atlanta due to crime and other negative things but that effort has failed so far.

Hey Bob! Yes, I quickly realized there is a town called Buckhead (when you googlemap Buckhead, GA...it's definitely a different area than Buckhead Atlanta!). Fun fact: 'the buck's head' was adopted into official use as "Buckhead" in an act passed by the Georgia Legislature on Dec 22, 1840, to establish Irby's home as an election district. Correction: Mall of Georgia is the largest mall in the state at 1.786 million sq ft [not including many shops and restaurants detached but on mall property]. Correction: Aventura Mall [Miami area] is the largest in the southeast at 2.7 million square feet. Lenox ranks 6th at 1.5 million square feet.

I grew up there, riding my Bike to Lenox Square and see Jaws at Phipps Plaza. I'm ready to move back in the next 12 months or so. I'm interested in a unit at The Peachtree Commons or other well maintained low rise "garden apartments" condos. I know these maybe priced at lower than you prefer to sell but it is what I can afford. @@AllAboutLivingInAtlanta Yes, I think about maybe finding a little 1930's bungalow in Jefferson, Ga or Commerce, Ga to put a little more distance between us. My dad has suggested North Druid HIlls where he grew up if I don't want to live in a high rise.
@AllAboutLivingInAtlanta

@@MsSarah32503 The North Druid Hills area is a good spot if you don't want to be in the thick of the city life, yet be fairly close to it all. Whenever I'm in those areas, I don't feel like I'm in the city at all. (I did a couple VLOG tours on my channel on Sagamore Hills/Oak Grove...and I think you get a sense for how the area feels in those areas. A lot more space). And I know they have some garden level/older condos/townhomes in that area just off of Lavista.

Thx for the input. I really try to add a lot of b-roll visuals throughout my videos so you can see what is going on around me. In fairness, this was a video I made earlier on when I was still getting used to filming out in public so I was still getting used to handling walking/talking/grabbing video clips. (It’s not as easy as it appears!)

Thanks for the feedback. I realized after I was done filming that I didn't have my mic plugged into the right option to feed audio into both sides...I was so annoyed. I'll try to work on not blasting the music in future videos -- just wanted to keep you awake! :)

@AllAboutLivingInAtlanta

You are right about that. Atlanta has been severely underpriced compared to other big city markets so we’ve been seeing many ppl from pricey areas such as NYC or California come here and finding Atlanta to be a bargain.

Hey Jason, I totally realized this issue (I pinned it in my comments!). I was so frustrated with the sound - I didn't realize when recording that my mic accidentally was set on mono-mode. Anyways, I am the editor (haha) and I couldn't figure out how to fix the audio in the software I was using. (I googled all sorts of stuff and couldn't figure it out). Anyways, sorry about the audio...I'm so annoyed by it but the show must go on.

Hi George - thanks for watching! Buckhead people definitely get labeled with that. However, I have some nice friends that live there and are far from snobby. But I get what you are saying - I feel underdressed when I'm running errands in the area. :)

Should have talked about the gross smugness and elitism that infects this area, they are trying to unite around an effort to pull their property taxes from the "you know who" who live in the south parts of the city and form their own municipal government. I grew up in Buckhead myself, and the people there drown in their own privilege.

Hi Susan. Thank you for your feedback. I really try to add a lot of footage of the area besides just me talking. I would find it weird to not be in the video and just narrate with my voice - I feel like the personal connection would be lost. But, I'm not a film producer, I'm just a real estate agent trying to help show people different areas of town. I wish there would have been neighborhood tours of Atlanta on RU-vid back when I moved here 11 years ago!
