And now for the reality!!!! The crime rates in Reynoldsburg is going crazy, matter of fact, Reynoldsburg is the second highest crime in the area with Whitehall being the highest Remember this is where "Uzi Ally" was before the city bulldozed the entire area. This explains the stagnated housing prices for the past 2 decades while the other areas have gone up significantly. I live in the better of the Reynoldsburg neighborhood but this is where the corrupt city has allowed Shelly Asphalt plant that produces ton of carcinogen pollution at night time with an elementary school less then few blocks away. THIS IS REYNOLDSBURG... I cant wait to get the hell out of this $hitty corrupt crime ridden dying town, its an extension of Whitehall and seems to be turning into one. Truth hurts and its hurting me because when I moved here to raise my family 20 years ago it was a nice area with schools that were 8 and 9 now they are 3 and 4. I am stuck but cannot wait to get the hell out of this place. Mistake of my life moving here.... Just my opinion

It depends on what part of Reynoldsburg you live in. Most of the crime you're talking about is in the south/south west part of Reynoldsburg. Around the Brice Rd. and Livingston Ave. area. I live in the north eastern part of Reynoldsburg and the crime is practically non-existent. I'm so north east that I'm practically in Pastaskala. Even the lot of my house is Licking County. Check out the areas around Waggoner Rd and Taylor Rd. north of Main St.

@@RobertMays-q3b YEp killings and murders happen here as well... Just last week someone killed his wife then himself. $hithole. Better $hithole then the south/south west side but still s $hithole....Its soon to be just like Whitehall. I say less then 10 years

I'll be moving to Columbus in Oct. of 2021. Born and raised in Los Angeles, but CA has become an unreasonably overrated and overpriced place to live. I also lived in Chicago for 10 years and fell in love with the Midwest. Though I won't be going back to Chicago, living in Columbus, I'll be close enough to take the short drive to Chicago whenever I choose. Thanks for sharing all of these wonderful videos. You have so much energy and exude a positivity and knowledge that is much appreciated. I'm going to start off in an apartment in Columbus most likely, but when I'm ready to buy, in two years or so, I'll definitely be reaching out to you---thx again!

@@AskRigs everything. It was nice 20 years ago- when I lived in Pickerington. I said I’d never leave east side- but now, I’ll never go back. It’s raggedy run down. They don’t even build anything out there anymore. It’s depressing I don’t even go that direction anymore. It’s not a bold statement, but an honest statement

@@AskRigs I know you weren’t being offensive. I wasn’t either🤗. At this point everywhere is a mess. I live off sawmill and it’s so ran down since last year. When the businesses closed there was nothing but weeds growing. All unkempt. I can just imagine how it is out East now too.

Hey thank you! Hope all is well. I love the look of brick homes the most - just something about them look so timeless and regal to me! I would say yes, they can withstand a bit more than an traditional home with siding too! But then again, mother nature is Mother Nature! She can blow that brick house down! LOL!

Me too. We have several areas where there are lots of them but Reynoldsburg is one of the first areas I think of when people ask for ranch homes. It's because they are brick homes too, which I love!

I built a house in Reynolds Crossing, we were the last area to build about 3 yrs ago. I am glad I decided to settle in Reynoldsburg for a while. The value is killer right now.

As far as the east side is concerned Blacklick (diverse) New Albany (not diverse) or Gahanna (more diverse) is the best or maybe Pickerington for the schools but they are not diverse enough

This place is by far not affordable anymore the apartments went up to over $850 a month . Reynoldsburg is turning into Whitehall trash 🗑.

Rent prices are up EVERYWHERE though to be fair. Having rent under $1.000 right now is really becoming more and more unheard of right now in many areas!

Totally agree with you Reynoldsburg is now just an extension of Whitehall trash. Sad!!!!! I used t like this place but cannot wait to get the heck out. crime is going crazy... Even the new high school in so called quit nice neighborhood is a site of a murder. NOT GOOD PLACE ANY MORE

Unfortunately, Section 8 housing is not easy to identify as there are not necessarily areas that are just Section 8 housing. Besides private landlords, you will want to check with CMHA (Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority).

We moved from hilltop columbus but the violence is really hard to ignore so we bought a house out here for our kids to live its a very nice place people are nice
