To the local people... I am doing research and looking for guidance. My wife and I are considering moving here part time. We are from Texas and plan to keep our home here, as I have a business and our families live here. We own a lot of land here in Texas and Loxahatchee is one of the few southern Florida areas where it seems possible to own an acre or two of land, as we don't care for neighbors living 5 feet from us, but also want to be close enough to beaches, food, fun activities. We are in our 40's and looking for honest input, advice, or suggestions. We are used to the heat (Texas stays in the 100's a lot) and we also have plenty of bugs here as well. What else can anyone tell us that may be helpful? Thanks so much for any input or advice!

You should do away with the long intro, it's more of an older way to do RU-vid videos. Your videos are good otherwise.

It has always baffled me how Florida "is the boating capital of the world," yet unless you live right on the water, there are really not that many properties that allow you or that are made to accommodate boat parking. Loxahatchee is great! Utilities are being upgraded, and the main roads widened. I am excited to see how it will be in 5 to 10 years.

@LIVINGINPALMBEACHFLORIDA I believe that my favorite part of Loxahatchee is the traditional country feeling of living on your own 1+ acre property but still being within a 20 to 30 min drive of Wellington, Jupiter, West Palm and the ocean. 3 hours from Tampa, Orlando or Miami. I see a lot of development coming to the Loxahatchee area. Hopefully it keeps it's country style.

@dylanhanbury3750 Yes, I understand. I can relate it to living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was a small, quiet and traditional coastal town. Now, over the years, since people found it out it has lost it's small town charm.

Good question M M! Always best to check with Insurance Guys on the Flood Zones. You want Zone X. Wildfires happen with lighting strikes on occasion. That is why they do controlled burns. Have you ever been to the area?
