Thankyouuu Meghraj. We have learnt much from our first build. Many mistakes made... and many things done right too. Hope you have an enjoyable learning filled journey to your new mud house :)

Why do you keep the mud wasp other than it builds with mud like you have? What do you put on scorpion sting? I have suggestion if you have nothing. Enjoyed the tour again.

I do want to build a Mud house but keep the animals outdoors. I don’t like them and very scare of them. I have small kids as well. It’s possible?

Yes absolutely. There are ways to do it and it all depends on where you are building the house. Also regular cleaning helps keep animals away. You can use things like agricultural lime around the house. Also keep them away. Another way is using essential oil diffusers with citronella. Strong smeels thend to keep them away too.

Ha, I was expecting the final tour, seeing it completed with kitchen n bathroom, not your many roommates. 😅 🕷 🐝 🦎 Ok well I will look to see if you made a tour. Also I want to thank you for being so conscience about the environment and sustainability. Is this going to be your permanent home?

Greeting, how many bricks did you make to build your house?
@OurLand
@OurLand 3 года назад
Hi queen. That would be about 1300-1500 bricks. One square meter of wall takes up 25 bricks.

Plaster the walls with cow dunk mixing with mud and there wouldn't be any insects on walls or inside the home. In indian villages it's common practice.

Hi. Loved your vdos. I am a Thai biologist. I spent a lot of time doing wildlife surveys in that part of the country. Lived in Kanchanaburi before but I am from the north. I am doing research on mud houses and planned to build them on my land. Love that you dont mind living next to those creatures. Where is your place in Kanchanaburi? Are you open to visitors? Anyhow, appreaciate your sharing with us and for encouraging people to consider living with nature. 🥰

Hi, loved your mud house building videos. How does the cost of this compare with normal concrete structure?
@OurLand
@OurLand 2 года назад
Good point. Cost isnt too far off. As with concrete u can buy the bricks right off the market at a low price. With mud u gotta make bricks, which cost us slightly more. Its the environment that pays the price with concrete. So besides getting a better cooled, no ecotoxicity, eco friendly house.... u even get bragging rights. :)

Are there more insects because you live in the forrest?
@OurLand
@OurLand 2 года назад
Yes absolutely. As OurLand is a wildlife reserve, theres a lot of "wildness" that comes along with it. But there's something magical about all that... although it can be a little bit more work though.
