Glad you liked the video Mike. We enjoy sharing time we spend at the cabin and in the woods. Never a lack of things to do up there. Thanks for watching!
Just a little slower, a few more breaks, but in the end it gets done! The worst thing we could do is not move. I guess we just went from the hare to the tortoise as we aged. Thanks for watching and glad you liked the video.
Thank you. Always fun to share time at the cabin with subscribers. As you can see, it takes a lot of time and work to keep up a place in the woods. Thanks for watching!
Lots of work but feels good when a person is done. If you burn wood, it's nice to get ahead a year too. Good luck with all that Nick. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Bill. We are blessed to have a spot to go. It takes a lot of work to keep it up as you see, but I always enjoy working and spending time at the cabin. Not a lot of folks have built a log cabin and it should be there for the kids fir a long time. Glad you liked the video.
Never a lack of chores at the cabin. Especially with all the dead balsam to be dropped. Should be a number of trips to the cabin this fall now that the weather is cooling off and the bugs dropping off. Fall is the best time to be at the cabin. Thanks for watching.
Thanks David. Just got back from the cabin today. Hot and humid, got some work done and the bugs are dropping off so it will be enjoyable not that fall approaches. Glad you liked the video!
Thank you. Always something to do at the cabin. The dogs really like being up there too. Life in the woods would be less enjoyable without the dogs! Glad you liked the video!
@@living_north, your neighbor Joe really looks up to you. During deer hunting, whenever you text him, he takes whatever you say as the gospel. If the true weather is calling is for 56 degrees and you text him that it will be 94 degrees, Joe will believe that it will be 94 degrees. Joe is truly one of those beta males and you can really tell this when he stuffs his small hands in his pockets whenever he is talking to somebody
That was a super weekend. The summer was warm and buggy so I didn't get up much. Now that fall is coming, I will get there more. Fall is the best time to have a place in the woods. Glad you liked the video Guy!
Thanks Kevin. I try to show people how much work it takes to maintain a place in the woods. If it's not kept up, things fall apart pretty fast. Plus I enjoy doing that kind of work. Glad you liked the video.
Thanks Bill. Always fun to have the dogs on the trip. The bugs were so bad this summer that I didn't go up much. I hope to get up a bunch now as the weather is cooler and the bugs die off. Fall is the best time to be up north! Glad you liked the video.
I had only one encounter with a skunk luckily it was far enough away from me where I didn't get sprayed all of a sudden I heard something that sounded like a fire extinguisher going off that's when I realized it was a skunk that would had made a very bad night I was having go even worse
That would have been bad! Kirra got sprayed once this spring in town in the back yard. No fun but got her washed off so it was tolerable anyway. Luckily it hasn't happened at the cabin. Thanks for watching scott!
I told my wife i need a splitter and she says you will hurt yourself and I said using a splitting maul that some how i manage to have the wood come back and hit my shins. So now let's see if i can get one. I'm not getting any younger and I can tell.
Yes Jake, the splitter is a great addition to have if you burn wood. I used to do it all by hand but won't do that again, especially as we age. Maybe you should have used the logic: easier to ask for forgiveness then permission about the splitter, ha-ha. Good luck, I hope it works out for you. Thanks for watching.
I've cut those shit trees b4. You get 3 dump truck loads of branches and only 10 sticks of wood. Hours of work for not much wood and its no good anyhow. Push it in a pile and burn it and save your time
You're right, not much good wood but it works for my neighbor who has MS for his campfires in the back yard in town. Not used for heat but ambience for him. I've burned it before but a couple times it almost got away from me. That was scary for sure. Now we have a spot to drop off the material and the forest service will burn it in the fall/winter. I've even thought of buying a chipper but haven't pulled the trigger on that. Thanks for watching John.
