Glad you liked the video. Big job but it sure makes things a little easier now when we head to the cabin and have things to do in the shed. Power is a wonderful thing!
Glad you liked the video. Always fun to share some things that go well and the way you plan for things to go. Another job checked off the list at the cabin.
Steven did a great job running the excavator and doing the wiring. It sure makes life a little easier now when we need to do stuff in the shed. I'm sure you will do just fine when you decide to tackle the job. Good luck Scott.
It was hot and humid that weekend but the bugs weren't bad so we finished things up pretty quickly. Renting equipment to make the job easier was definitely the way to go. Thanks for watching.
I bought excluder rodent barrier off Amazon and it's like steel wool but has stainless steel wires inbedded and it cuts the bare fingers easily. I used it to fill around areas to keep mice out
Odd to see you folks in shorts. Nice work weekend. Will be so handy for projects around the shed now. When did you film this? Cause I know ya'll had some quick snow come thru. Winter is off this year. I'm from SO TX so I know heat. Two days ago we went from 60 to 90 in 8 hours. Not ready for that yet. It went away that night and has remained normal since for our area. You know when I was kid I didn't have a coat. I didn't need a coat until I was about 13 yrs old. We got a very wet snow that year, it disappeared within hours.
This was filmed last summer so it is out of sequence but we like to mix some summer stuff in with winter. We haven't had much of a winter this season but still nice to see green grass. I hope we get some rain this spring or the forest might burn up with wild fires. Time will tell. Thanks for watching.
No I left that to steven since he had some experience running skid steers in college. It is a little jerky because it is small but it sure saved a ton of work for about $350 dollars to rent. Thanks for watching.
There are a couple so called beaches on 2 different lakes near the cabin but neither of them is what I would call a good swimming spot. If it is warm out in the summer the kids will go there to cool off. The water is dark on both the lakes because of the tanic acid that is in most of the lakes in the boreal forest. But when it is hot and humid the water feels good!
