bought mine last month... had front end right side damage, now solving it. fuckin pisses me off. seller stated that it "drives", yea, fuck you it drives. god damn axle is shot. i found a cut up rubber piece with bearing grease in the trunk with all the other damaged parts (headlight, trim pieces ect...) and... it was the god damn axle boot, sure enough, pressed on the throttle a bit harder and it was makin all kinds of noises. sounded like a god damn orchestra down there.
I had a 3 series in the past, not m340 lol. I like both chasis but I do have to say I like 5 series better. Its more comfortable and also the V8 sound of the M550I is amazing lol. But drive both and see which one you like best
Subscribed, bro you have the exact content im looking for. Looking into getting a 2018 m550i as well and a hellcat in the future so your channel is my house for now.
Thank you bro!! Im posting a video probably within a week. I sold the cars last week, if you do go with the bmw make sure to get extended warranty. I spent almost 10k in literally 6 months on repairs.
@@indigoscat3922 congrats bro, do you know if tuning and modding the m550 would void the extended warranty? Like exhaust, plugs, stage 2 tune, down pipes and so long nothing crazy.
I have a 2020 i bought mine in April with warranty and 44k miles on it for 48400. I wanted the better motor and the updated i drive 7 but i totally get what you are saying 90% of the car is the same with the 2018-19 to the 2020s
Yeah they are pretty much the same. I was actually looking at a 22 m5 competition today and Im really tempting to go for it but rates now are thru the roof.
Im at 98k miles and my evaporator just started leaking. So ill put up some cash for that over the winter. No other issues with mine tho. I get 30mpg if that tells you how i drive it. I also change the oil at 5k using liquid moly 0w-30 ll01 fe. With ceratec.
Hey bro - I have a 2018 550i as well. I get the musky mildew smell when i turn on the car for few mins everytime and changing the air filters has not helped at all. Would you know how I can go about cleaning that smell out? I have seen Lysol disinfectant stuff on YT but dont know when i can spray in the car exterior air filter. Any tips? Also looking to change the tyres along with the rims (have run flats now).. any recommendations? Texas weather.
Not sure about the smell. I have heard sometimes that tree leafs can clog the drain system on the front windshield and that could cause the smell but I wouldnt know for sure. Tires I got rid of run flats and have hankook evo v12 and I love them. Not bouncy like run flats and they dont make a lot of noise, not sure if you car comes with 20s but if you can upgrade to 20s I would say do it for sure, car looks really nice on 20s and drives perfectly fine.
Hey there, I would suggest a Google search for this, automotive air-conditioning mold spray. The brands like AC pro and BG are the ones I would use. Also check forums for help doing it, but I would check and remove cabin filters when doing this. Hopefully this helps you get in the right direction.
I guess im one of the lucky owners… my 19 m550i has given me 0 issues except for the rear guibo being susceptible to a little bit of cracking. I’ve changed it once and warranty covered 80% of it I paid like 150 for everything. Get a good warranty, don’t drive like an idiot simple…
every BMW comes with a ticking time bomb AC had a 2016 535xi with nothing by ac issues and coolant issues now i have a 2018 M5 with the same issues and didn't even have it for a month lol.
@@scheminghard its a fact though suspension issues now car shaking but its nyc and i hit pot holes alot so i can't really blame the car on this one and the ac issue never happened again yet and back on the 535 it fogged up all the windows constantly in any weather.
I usually do it at costco and is about $70, sometimes a bit more or less depending on gas price. But on a regular gas statiom I think will be around $80 or more
BMWs reliable? Laughable. I have owned over 10 BMWs and when you put some miles on them, you will be paying a lot for maintenance and repairs. Thousands. Perhaps tens of thousands.
You don’t know how to work on your own car? I’ve had 2 BMWs and they’re very reliable. Just work on them yourself! You’re a man no? Every man should know how to do mechanical work on their cars. Yeah of course it gets expensive and the shops, they charge a nut
