2015 she laughed while Philip Davis was talking about numerous issues affecting men, including that one and prostate cancer, but later addressed the select committee to apologise for laughing and she that she did so at the idea that men had any struggles in raising those issues. She went on to say “…in the fight for equality, I’m not sure the men on this list necessarily have that much to fight for”. Davies corrected her as he didn’t speak about an inability for men to raise issues, but rather that these issues (that uniquely or disproportionately affect men) were not being raised.

Free speech doesn't mean free from responsibility, and any organisation has an expectation of their employees to behave in a manner that doesn't cause danger to others, a political party more than most.

Except in this instance you've gone a step further, suggesting taking away their freedom to say benign things to someone who is forbidden by association. I wouldn't normally comment on things like this but the rise in authoritarian tendencies and rhetoric is something that personally, I find a lot more alarming than Putin for example. This is exactly the kind of way he thinks too, by the way, but he doesn't pretend to be anything other than a tyrant.

As I said, I would discuss it with them first, and upon the outcome of that discussion I would decide whether or not I felt they should stay involved in my company.
