@@vernardbrown-rv8nc He owned his masters for over 20 years. His last album on Def Jam wasn’t until 2007. That’s a good 5 years before his Exit 13 Album, which was his last album on Def Jam. He also owned a percentage of Def Jam that he sold. And the same Def Jam President position that Jay-Z occupied , was offered to LL in 96, but he turned it down.

Haha, _"I Need Love"_ was the first song whose lyrics I memorized. Back in the days of pausing and rewinding cassettes, in order to transcribe and practice. I was _seven._ 😅🥰😇 SN- I remember when LL came to visit the Roxbury Boys & Girls Club around then; some time in the late 80's. It was a huge deal for us, especially living in that area. He spoke to us in the 🏀/gym, and a couple of us yelled that we loved him; to which he replied back, _respectfully:_ "I love you, too". We believed him, and we nearly lost it.🤣😂 Anyhow, he's remained an authentic being, became an amazing family man, a class act, and a great example. One of the greatest men of our generation, IMO.

First concert I ever attended was LL Cool J, Run D Mc, Public Enemy(and the S1W's) at the Reunion Arena Dallas TX late 80s . LL Cool J had this Boom Box the sizes of a house on stage....epic. I, too, along with Hip Hop, turn 50 this year. 🎉

He is the first rapper that I liked. I saw him on NCIS LA and that was the first time I saw him. I was a bill Hayley Rock and roll fan. And alot of the rock and rollers. When I heard his Hip hop, I was surprised, and liked him. At my age of 80 1/2. During his time of starting I was working all the time.
