i gotta admit. I like his progression as aperson. you see the maturation over the years from someone spicing his interviews with "whaddup..youknowwhatim sayin"..to a very articulate who individual who can probabaly work any room or social circle you put him in and feel copmfortable.
LL in my opinion is not only a top 10 rapper... maybe top 5 but in terms of being the total package (voice, look, swag and longevity and relevance) he is #1 all time... name another rapper who beats him in that catagory.
Walking With A Panther was ahead of its time. Had he released that album just 4 years later it would have a better reception. Looking at the music put out by Puff then, that album would have fit right in
Exactly !! Always felt that way. Once I heard it later in life, that album is fire. Due to the climate of where Hip Hop was, of course the fans was gonna front on it.
Definitely the GOAT of Hip Hop... As he says he doesn't have competition because the type of Hip Hop he does there is no one better or no one even doing it. LL is like an experimental genius to rap. He did all types of songs in rap. I need Love Im that type of guy and all sorts of different tracks that were different from the hardcore rap. He started hard then went all over with it. He was versatile. I always thought of LL as a true Goat. I need a beat had me sold from Day 1
