When a female osprey is on the nest incubating eggs, she calls for food and the male osprey brings her fish. Well, that’s what should happen or so the books say. At the Llyn Brenig osprey nest the ospreys are doing things a bit differently! When the female is hungry she calls for fish, the male comes and takes over incubation and the female flies off to fish. Sometime later she returns with a nice fish to eat, eats half, then brings the other half to the nest. They swap over incubation duties and the male flies off with the half of fish to eat and she settles down to incubate. Quite the modern couple!!!
