You are simply a great teacher. I have NI Standard 14 with a Kontrol 61 keyboard, but just realized I haven't really exploited any of the possibilities when it comes to the Play series. Inspired now, så thanx :).
Dude your videos have helped me out so much. Got my MK3 a few months back to add a new tool to the studio, but I've had a really hard time learning the work flow until I found your channel. The last few days I've been watching your videos and I'm cooking with grease now! Thanks for everything Jef.
I just got this one with the new v,13 of Komplete, Mario. Wow, this one is really great and I haven’t stopped using it since I got it. Of course I went straight to Jef’s page to see if he had a video (Thanks, Jef! You really put together a great tutorial). Seriously one of the best sounding and most useful synths out there. Great work!
Hey! Just noticed this now! Immediately recognized the thumbnail... thanks for everything you do on the forums, I've been learning from you for a long time! Oh... and GREAT software!
Awesome! I am just starting my musical journey at 61 years old. I am looking for possibilities for automating the more “mechanical” aspects of creating music, and you just highlighted a couple possibilities in that vein.
This was a great video! I certainly wouldn’t have noticed all the editing possibilities. I really hope they update the other synths in the pay series with the seq and editors to keep them consistent. There are good sounds in all of them, but would be so much better with this. And, you can save and recall sequences too!
@@jefgibbons It is actually one of the smartest executed step sequencers I have seen with the transpose/scale/key abilities. To execute the same thing in the others... that would be killer. BTW... love your videos! I've been using Maschine for years, but I still pick up some new things from your vids... like I never knew how to copy a sound from a kit to another group just from the controller.
This was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!!! I recently got Melted Vibes and am NOT liking a lot of the presets at all! I see now that I'm going to have to go in a create what I want to hear. Thank you so much for this!
12:06 The panning of the sounds cannot be heard in the video. By the way, you are a very good teacher. You have a great voice, and your explanation is crystal clear.
Dig into the features! (esp the sequencer) and don't let the noise build up too much if you use a bunch of patches! I found disabling the noise on some patches really helps if you have too much...
Hi Jef I am Eugene From South Africa ...Can you direct me to a video or give me a Workflow advise about sending a stereo channel to a mono external effects ( a Piano signal to a mono hardware like Pultec Eq). Process Left and Right Separately .
can anyone help me when it comes to using my maschine mk3 controller on the lofi glow? or just any instrument on kontakt? i want to use my pads on my maschine with the lofi glow instrument but im just confused as to how to route it to my controller.
Thanks a lot Jeff with another ultra cool video. Iam a huge fan on your demos and basics tutorial on MASCHINE. I wish you could give us tips on the best workflow you are actually using in your own composition and especially the way you use FX filter. I have already visioned your send FX maschine video and this one was very very helpful (delay and reverb). I mean once you create your song with patterns and scenes lets say you in a post production and you want to apply FX modulation (filter) on just several pattern or scene. What will you do exactly ? Are you working on patterns scenes or global song ? I do know how to to use automation and record it on one specific pattern but sometimes the result is not as good on MASCHINE as it could be on another daw. It’s not easy making match patterns together (the pattern you are working on with fx modulation and the following one) May be my question or problem seems stupid but most of time people missed simple tips and tricks to have better results on their work. (For example making breathe your composition with a simple reverse hihat at the end of a drum pattern, or just add a silent break to give impulsion to a chorus or a verse.....) Anyway thks for all the good work you are giving to people Hope i get understood sorry for my english
