Never say never when it comes to hauling equipment. Just because you can't or won't load something a certain way doesn't mean someone else can't. I've loaded that same packer on that exact same setup 100s of times over the years over the beavertails with no issues what so ever except in icy conditions.

Right on! I had a buddy of mine say the same thing! He said just gotta climb on correctly. If I remember he said he starts on a bit of an angle & gets the drum started that way. Thanks for both watching and for your comment. Stay tuned for further nonsense and entertainment my friend.

Mornn' Buddy, My vote is expert! The scissor neck on the float is amazing. Seeing it was a first for this old dinosaur. It was great to see the pumps working in the backgrounds. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Good morning Paul I thought the punk jacks in the background were interesting as well. I never really paid attention to them until the film was at a higher speed then suddenly they just appeared in the background. One more day for me and then I will be off for the weekend if it's time for the annual summer pig roast. Kids and visitors arriving starting today.

Looks dangerous but amazing skills! Stay safe brother!!

Not really dangerous, just a bit different from most people's lives. Probably way more dangerous to drive in a city every day- which I don't. Caution and double check things are OK. Animal collusion is a risk for sure. Almost every day I'll see at least 1 moose or deer that's been hit.

When winching the trailer back up, are you using both reverse and winch, or just the winch to pull the truck back?
@lovesloudcars
@lovesloudcars 9 месяцев назад
Here just the winch. Some trucks have a live winch separate from the transmission. This one doesn't, so the truck speed won't match the cable speed. Leaving it in neutral keeps the cable tight and straight on the drum. (I'm no winch truck expert myself though. I use one occasionally, but not enough to say I'm "qualified ") Thanks for watching and for your comment. Stay tuned for more my friend!

Ya did just fine! Kind of a creepy type of set up but what do I know lol. Thanks for showing us and as I say, all the best and God Bless everyone.

Thanks John. Setting up tomorrow for the annual pig roast at our place. Starting the smoker around 6 Friday night and eating 24 hours later! Hopefully I'll get the video posted within the week. It's a lovely summer day.

How did Commander Jim Lovett of Apollo 13 describe using the simulator? 3 hours of boredom followed by 5 seconds of pure terror! 😆 You gotta do all the hooking and unhooking of stuff and then hope like crazy the machine doesn't slide off of the side when wheels start spinning. Good job!!!

Well occasionally people do have a little mishap here and there that's for sure. It has not happened to me but to have a rock truck spin and slide sideways off the trailer would probably make your heart leap a little bit. As long as experience increases skill and not complacency.

I see you have a bilke s3 processor. I have been trying to reach the company do you know if there are any dealers here in Canada?
@lovesloudcars
@lovesloudcars 2 года назад
Yes there are. I bought mine in Eastern Canada you can email me at lovesloudcars@gmail.com and I'll forward you the information. Haven't talked to him in a bit but I assume he's still in business. Now I'll have to check out your videos! Won't get a chance today. Just tidying up for guests to arrive for the annual pig roast! Haven't used my Bilke this year. The birch I had delivered was a bit too big. I should rig it up working beside my Palax & throw all the smaller stuff through it as I go. - would improve productivity.

Good job loading that roller Nathan. It would have taken me more than 2 tries. But I think you scratched the paint when you unloaded it. Lol

It was almost hung up there permanently. Another lesson learned- take the drum off at a diagonal. Whether I remember the lesson remains to be seen, just like pinching my coveralls between the chain and deck while tying down the D7 on that other video.

Someone didn't perform the basic maintenance on their trailer , making their job harder !
@lovesloudcars
@lovesloudcars Год назад
Which basic maintenance are you referring to? I'm guessing that being the operator and never loading one before it was inexperience. What did you notice for advice or pointers?
@joedoakes8307
@joedoakes8307 Год назад
washing the accumulating mud off of your trailer and sweeping the bed. Time lapse trucker carries a wide broom and sweeps his trailer bed after each UNload . he's in Alberta and all over , like you .
@lovesloudcars

@@joedoakes8307 ah. Can't wash the trailer every day here, and the deck always gets swept after unloading and checked before it hits the highway . I just would have shut the video off before I did that. Thanks for your reply. Stay tuned for further nonsense and entertainment my friend.
