Bugging out is a fun daydream . Many have a wife and kids at home to protect and provide for . Would be great if it was a case of " The family that bugs out together stays together . " Just imagine going to the woods and waterways and providing warm ,dry shelter and food and water for four instead of just yourself . And don't forget your elderly kin you"re leaving behind to fend for themselves . Best plan on staying home with the family and being prepared to defend them with your life .

I agree with you about not batoning a knife. I was raised up in the east Texas thicket and my grandfather would kick my butt if I banged on my knife blade like most of the youtube movie stars do. I also agree with you about the necessity of bucking up wood for a campfire. It is wasted time and energy. I know there are times when I would want to, like if I am hot tent camping and I need shorter pieces to fit the stove. I also think that a hawk is one of the most important tools a person can carry. I have run the woods for over seventy years, so I am no stranger to the woods. I enjoy your videos.

I can see the radical difference between family life today and what I had as a boy in the 1950s....I never saw a tv untill I was in, the 4th grade......the dinner table is what ALWAYS brought the family together.........Grace before food . ......even today take challenge. ....can feed family on $20 week.......basic food stuff e end in suburbia. ......bag oy potatoes. ....onions. . Carrots. .flour...sugar....cofffee....corn meal etc. Etc. It was the wife that fwd,rhe family. ......ONE IS NONE AND TWO IS ONE. ....HAVE READ MUCH about The native living in the artic environment. .... .the Inuit man could not survive in that environment without a wife.....story after story in literature confirming that reality......pull up the old Canadian films about the CREE in upper Canada regions. ...the first order of survival is a strong family structure and community. ...the bible is the anchorage of both

No one really knows how far they will be away from where they need to get to in SHTF when the time comes. I could be at my bugout location or I could be 400 miles away. Everything I need is at my bugout location. But I still need a bugout bag to get me there. So I keep one in my house, which is 4-5 days from my bugout cabin if I have to make the trip on foot. It doesn’t have everything I need for long term survival but it will hopefully get me to the location that does.

Good job. ...explain the reality between camping and BUGGING OUT........really where are you going to bug out to ???? What about family and friends....community. .....reality is survival of power outages...fuel shortages. ..no food in super market. ...no medacine and on and on...just challenge average family to unplug tv and social media games for one week ???? Yeeeehaaaw see what happens. ......I took my grad kids camping one week end and, made them leave cell, phones at home....9n the way home tou could see them experience seious withdrawal ......very anxious to get home.....need to recognize all types of addiction

Well, I'll be 70 before long and I've decided on 2 bags, one to carry my extra 40 pounds of belly fat, another with a good straight stick and some rope to keep my back straight, a tank of extra oxygen, and a good switch I can warp myself on the butt with to keep myself movin' along. If it works I might put a patent on it.
