A another story of success from my previous position - Loading two sister Ropax passenger catamarans on m/v Sunrise!
This March, 2019, Vietnam has seen the most eye-catching and unique loading operation at anchorage B11 in Vung Tau, Vietnam where the two sister H387 and 388-70M Ropax passenger catamarans were being loaded on board M/v Sunrise 24,629dwt, self-propelled semi-submersible through float-on/float-off method. This is the result a long period of hard working and professional handling in terms of chartering the right ship with the most suitable technical details, technological characteristics as well as cost effective factor. WIND Vietnam has been working closely with the customer and the shipowner to get all technical aspects as well as weather conditions and loading location criteria satisfied and thoroughly planned in order that the two ferries could be loaded safely for their final destination
Our hands-on experience, extensive market knowledge with proven tracking records has helped us fulfill the scope of work in the most favorable terms for our customer

I am not an expert - please help me out. Why is it better to put the boats on the deck rather than towing them?

Lower hydrodynamic drag, it’s more fuel efficient and therefore cheaper
