Lobello Estates neighborhood is framed by the two most expensive neighborhoods in Dallas, Strait Lane and Mayflower Estates. Mayflower Estates just to the south is best known for the Crespi Estate originally on 21 acres and the Gene Phillips estate on 14 acres. Strait Lane is best known for the 16-acre residential property owned by the late Ross Perot and his family. Lobello Estates is a small neighborhood of predominately 1.25-acre lots and the occasional two-acre property.
In the neighborhood of Lobello Estates, one will see original midcentury modern homes that include one designed by architect Charles Dilbeck. However now, one is seeing more commonly the homes designed in the 2020’s by award-winning architects like Cliff Welch, Scott Specht, Svend Fruit and Russell Buchanan. The wide lawns give this neighborhood even more of an estate feel and add to the desirability of Lobello Estates for new architecturally significant homes in this Preston Hollow estate neighborhood of Lobello Estates.
