Lobster Tempura Sushi

Who doesn't love lobster? That is, unless you're allergic to shellfish. And even if you are, there's something here for you. Tempura can be applied to anything, and it's delicious.
Tempura Batter:
1 2/3 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups cornstarch
2 cups club soda / plain sparkling water
Salt (to taste)
1. Combine all ingredients and whisk. Leave in the refrigerator until ready to fry.
2. Dip your lobster or other food into the batter, then fry at 350 Fahrenheit until golden brown.
3. Toss a bit of extra salt immediately upon removing from fryer and enjoy!

@@otdo5606 As a lobster grows, its shell becomes confining and the lobster feels uncomfortable and under pressure. It goes under a rocky shelf to protect itself, casts off its shell and produces a new one. As it grows, that shell becomes uncomfortable, and so it goes back under the rocks. It repeats this several times. The stimulus for the lobster to grow is that it feels uncomfortable. Times of stress are signals for growth. Science?

Almost all chefs besides most asians put down lobsters like that, but cooking them alive as bad it sounds (which it is) makes you much less likely to get sick (crustaceans decay really really fast so shouldn't kill them 12 or more houre before you cook)

I really appreciate the humane approach and methods you used with the lobster. I never used to think that sea creatures needed to be treated that well (with the exception of larger creatures, like whales, sharks, turtles, etc.) but once I met my marine biologist boyfriend I learned just how special all creatures are, big and small. Really appreciate this video, keep it up :)
